Receive, identify, label, and prepare various types of medical specimens for testing, ensuring proper handling and adherence to established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Accurately enter patient demographics, medical histories, diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans into electronic health record (EHR) systems or other designated healthcare databases accurately and in a timely manner.
• Verifying patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits to determine coverage for healthcare services and ensure accurate billing.
• Verify the accuracy of data entries by cross-referencing with source documents and correct any discrepancies or errors found in the data.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documentation, and billing codes in EHR systems or practice management software, and assist with coding, claims submission, and revenue cycle management processes.
• Communicate effectively with tea ---------- mbers to resolve any data-related issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information and healthcare data in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies, safeguarding sensitive information from unauthorized access or disclosure.
