I supported the implementation of programs, activities, and projects related to the five priority commodities of BFAR—shrimp, shellfishes, milkfish, tilapia, and seaweeds. I assisted in the planning and disaggregation of projects and budgets for the provinces of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur, and Ilocos Norte. I also served as part of the secretariat for the Bureau’s Quality Management System and contributed to the monitoring and evaluation of regional programs for monthly reporting to the BFAR Central Office. Additionally, I prepared presentations for the Regional Director for various meetings and workshops and monitored the progress of the Bureau’s banner programs.

I was responsible for developing Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials to support the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – National Fisheries Development Center (BFAR–NFDC) in promoting its programs and services. This included creating visually engaging content, writing informative materials, and ensuring technical accuracy aligned with fisheries and aquaculture standards. I also managed the Center’s social media platforms by preparing posts, monitoring engagement, and coordinating information dissemination to strengthen public awareness and stakeholder outreach. In addition, I prepared presentations for trainings, meetings, and institutional activities, ensuring that technical data and program updates were communicated clearly, accurately, and professionally.

I was responsible for managing official email communications for the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – National Fisheries Development Center (BFAR–NFDC). This included receiving, organizing, and responding to inquiries; coordinating with internal units and external stakeholders; and ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information and official correspondences.

I teach fisheries-related courses such as Fish Stock Assessment, Aquaculture, and Fisheries Science, as well as general science subjects including Biochemistry and Botany. My responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and instructional materials, implementing innovative teaching strategies, and conducting assessments through examinations, projects, practical activities, and research outputs. I also engage in fisheries and aquaculture research, stock monitoring, and sustainable resource management initiatives, while participating in community extension programs that promote fisheries education. Additionally, I mentor students, contribute to curriculum development, attend faculty meetings, and pursue continuous learning and professional collaboration to support institutional growth.

I facilitated national and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) trainings for all the fisheries professional in the Philippines, managed information and social media content of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – National Fisheries Development Center, supported the Fish N’ Learn Program and Gender and Development initiatives, and assisted in broodstock development and hatchery management. My earlier experience as Planning Staff at BFAR Regional Office No. 1 further strengthened my capabilities in project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for priority commodities such as shrimp, shellfish, milkfish, tilapia, and seaweeds.
