Profile Description

With a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries, licensure as a Fisheries Professional, and extensive experience in fisheries education, aquaculture operations, and program implementation, I am committed to contributing my expertise to your organization’s mission of advancing food security and promoting sustainable resource management.
I am currently an Instructor at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – College of Fisheries, where I teach specialized courses such as Fish Stock Assessment, Aquaculture, and Fisheries Science, alongside foundational science subjects including Biochemistry and Botany. My responsibilities include designing instructional materials, delivering lectures and laboratory sessions, conducting research activities, and mentoring students in developing competencies essential to fisheries and aquaculture.
Previously, I served as Aquaculturist I at the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources – National Fisheries Development Center, where I facilitated national and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) trainings, managed information and social media content, supported the Fish N’ Learn Program and Gender and Development initiatives, and assisted in broodstock development and hatchery management. My earlier experience as Planning Staff at BFAR Regional Office No. 1 further strengthened my capabilities in project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting for priority commodities such as shrimp, shellfish, milkfish, tilapia, and seaweeds.
Through these combined academic and field experiences, I have developed strong competencies in fisheries science, aquaculture operations, research, capacity building, and community extension. I am also proficient in planning and budgeting, training facilitation, and information management, supported by advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, graphic design, and event coordination.
