As one of the authors of several research studies during my college years, I contributed to projects focused on emotion regulation, the impostor phenomenon, mental well-being, and behavioral responses in experimental settings. I was actively involved in formulating research questions, conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, and writing research papers. These experiences not only enhanced my critical thinking and academic writing skills but also deepened my understanding of applying psychological theories and methods to real-world issues.

During my Industrial/Organizational practicum at the HR Office, I gained hands-on experience in administrative tasks such as organizing employee records, assisting in recruitment processes, and helping facilitate seminars and orientations. I also observed how employee relations were managed and learned the importance of confidentiality, professionalism, and effective communication in maintaining a productive workplace environment. This experience deepened my understanding of how psychological principles apply in organizational settings, especially in promoting employee well-being and organizational efficiency.

During my time with 51Talk, I worked as an online English teacher, helping non-native students—primarily from China—develop their basic English communication skills. I conducted one-on-one lessons, tailored teaching materials to suit each learner’s needs, and fostered a positive and engaging virtual classroom environment. This experience improved my communication skills, patience, and adaptability, while also enhancing my ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.

I created and scheduled posts, designed content for events and announcements, and ensured timely communication with the student body. This role enhanced my skills in digital communication, content creation, and audience engagement, while also teaching me the importance of consistency and professionalism in maintaining an organization’s online presence.
