I was the Operations Manager of a subdepartment for a Japanese company based in the Philippines.
I led a project where our client is a premier Japanese language services firm. I managed a subdepartment of 30 people with the help from my training team, QA team and operations team. We evaluate written content by Japanese students using the client's own rubrics and guidelines. I had constant correspondence with our Japanese client to ensure that we exceed their expectations when it comes to evaluating written content.
I can easily adapt to change as exhibited by my leading the rebuild of my subdepartment when it transitioned to a different project.
I am also a quick learner, and I can work independently. In my 10-year work experience, there have been many instances where I had to learn things and do things by myself. For me it was a good thing because I was able to develop out-of-the-box thinking. Although it took a lot of trial and error to figure out what would and would not work, I was able to learn a multitude of things through the experience.
Lastly, I deeply value efficiency. As an Operations Manager, I created different spreadsheets or trackers which I thought would help optimize our day-to-day operations. Through the creation of those, I was able to improve our yearly sales by 20%.
