Profile Description

INTERNAL AUDITING ROLE
?Plans, prepares, and reviews the scope of a risk-based internal audit plan;
?Performs audit walkthrough, identifies control risks, and develops relevant audit programs;
?Executes audit assignments for the internal audit team, and conducts a review of the audit and the program, in accordance with professional standards;
?Performs fieldwork as necessary;
?Evaluates risk exposure related to the achievement of the organization's strategic objectives;
?Evaluates the systems established to confirm compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations that could have a significant impact on the organization;
?Evaluates the means of utilizing and safeguarding assets and, as appropriate, verifying the existence of such assets, where applicable;
?Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the organization's risk management processes;
?Performs advisory services related to governance, risk management, and internal control as
appropriate for the organization;
?Monitors and validates the implementation of agreed action items to correct identified audit issues (follow-ups);
?Evaluates and recommend improvements on specific operations at the request of the Board or
management, as appropriate; and
?Remains current on audit, industry, and regulatory oversight trends and suggests a risk-based approach to incorporate such into the annual audit plan.
