Profile Description

I am looking for mission-driven work in the fields of education and/or psychological health, whether it be as a direct service-provider or in an administrative or support role.

I finished university with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor degree in Hispanic Studies. Since then, I have also accomplished most of the units required for a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology and have considerable internship experience in the fields of research, intervention, and mental health support.

Professionally, I have worked extensively as a teacher for lower elementary students and am confident about my teaching abilities. I have also worked, though less extensively, as a graduate assistant whose responsibilities largely focus on administrative support and social media management. I am a trained crisis-line responder and have accomplished at least 200 hours of volunteer crisis-line work.

Top Skills

Experience: 5 - 10 years

4 years of experience as a class directress/teacher at a Montessori Elementary school in the Philippines. Taught math, geometry, language, biology, geography, history, music, and art to lower elementary students using the Montessori method of child-centered and material-based learning. 2 years of experience as a language assistant (similar to a teaching assistant) at a Bilingual Elementary school in Madrid, Spain. Assisted Spanish elementary school teachers in teaching literacy, natural sciences, social sciences, and arts in English to 1st and 2nd graders; as well as helped students prepare for their state-required ESL examinations.

Other Skills

Experience: Less than 6 months

As part of my work as a teacher, I used Adobe Photoshop at the end of every school year to design multiple pages of the school's official yearbook.

Experience: 6 months - 1 year

1 year of experience as a graduate assistant at the Psychology Department of a top university in the Philippines. A huge part of this work involved providing administrative support to the faculty, staff, and most especially the Department Chair. This included (but was not limited to) handling the Department's social media accounts and various mailing groups; handling the Department's subscriptions to various research-related tools; doing data collection, analysis, and reporting for Department projects; coordinating with other offices for larger-scale projects; and planning and executing Department events.

Experience: 6 months - 1 year

As part of my work as a graduate assistant, I regularly used Canva to create posters for posting on facebook and sending through emails. These posters were usually Department announcements or advertising Department events.

Experience: 6 months - 1 year

As part of the requirements for a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology, I accomplished 2 semester's worth of internship experience in various practices of Psychology, namely: 1) Intervention work: program development, facilitation, and evaluation; 2) Research work: theory-building as well as data gathering, analysis, and reporting; and 3) Mental health support work: crisis-line, counseling, wellness checks, and mental well-being assessments
