Entry-Level Construction Support VA, Design & Documentation Virtual Assistant or

During my internship, I gained valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of construction work. I was exposed to real construction workflows, observed and followed on-site safety practices, and regularly coordinated with site engineers, foremen, and workers to support daily operations. My responsibilities included assisting with the monitoring of construction progress on different types of projects such as residential buildings, roads, canals, and riprap works. I also participated in estimating material quantities, preparing basic takeoffs, and reviewing daily site progress to help with project planning and reporting. This experience gave me practical knowledge of fieldwork, teamwork, and construction documentation.

I have a background in structural engineering from my bachelor’s degree. I am familiar with STAAD.Pro V8i for structural analysis through coursework, and I also know how to perform manual structural computations based on concrete design principles. While my experience is academic, I have a solid understanding of key engineering concepts and analysis methods.

I also do graphic design commissions using Canva, creating materials like posters, tarpaulins, invitation cards, and more. I have experience designing for both personal and event-related projects with attention to layout and visual appeal.

I have been familiar with using computers for most of my life, which makes me confident in my computer literacy skills. Although I don’t have professional experience in office or computer-related jobs, I am a fast learner and eager to develop these skills further. Given the opportunity, I’m confident I can quickly adapt and perform well in any computer-based tasks.

I have basic experience using Microsoft Excel for engineering and practical tasks. I’ve created tools like a Moment Distribution Method calculator, cost computation sheets, and data tabulations by applying fundamental formulas and functions. While my skills are currently at a foundational level, I’m eager to learn more and open to feedback. I prefer having my work reviewed and criticized so I can continue improving.
