HOT TAKE:

A lot of “high-converting” creatives only look good because of flashy edits.

Take away the transitions, captions, and dopamine cuts and most of them wouldn’t survive the first 3 seconds.

Because a good editor can buy you one second.

A good creative strategist earns the next ten.

And if you’re still reading this…

the hook worked :)

So, what actually makes a creative convert isn’t just “good editing.”

It’s the combination of:
- a strong hook
- visuals that support the message instead of distracting from it
- and messaging that speaks directly to a specific audience persona

Let’s face it.

Creative isn’t just about making things look nice.

Every hook, visual, and message should have a purpose behind it.

You know, to drive actual results.

That’s where I come in.

Hi, I’m Maria — a creative strategist with a direct response background.

Which basically means I’ve spent years looking at creative through one lens:

“What’s actually making this convert?”

Not just what looks trendy. Not just what gets views.

...but what gets people to stop, pay attention, and take action.

Over time, I realized I didn’t just want to write copy anymore.

I wanted to be involved in the entire creative process... from the hooks and messaging down to the visual direction and audience positioning.

Because when every part of the creative works together, performance gets a whole lot stronger.

That’s why I focus on creating ads that don’t just look good on Meta or TikTok…

…but actually speak to the right people.

I’m also slightly obsessed with studying winning ads.

Not to copy them blindly, but to understand why they’re working in the first place.

The hook. The pacing. The emotional trigger. The retention structure. The comments. The positioning. The edit choices. The audience psychology behind it.

I spend a lot of time analyzing creatives across different brands and niches using tools like AdSpy, Atria, and TikTok Creative Center.

Trends come and go. But human attention patterns? Those are worth studying.

I also understand how to communicate with editors in a way that translates strategy into execution.

Whether it’s Canva, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or Photoshop, I can usually visualize how a creative should look and feel before it’s even made.

And more importantly, I know how to explain that vision clearly to a creative team.

At the end of the day, I’m still learning.

Still studying creative strategy. Still reading old direct response copy. Still improving my eye for performance creative.

That's what the best creatives do. They never stop studying what makes people care.

If you’d like to see my portfolio, resume, and case studies, send me a message.

I’d love to show you some of the projects I’ve worked on and how I approach creative strategy.

Looking forward to working together!

— Maria

“For years, I maxed out my hours, got burnt out, and the quality of my work would start to go down. I decided to take the leap, hire correctly, and now it frees up my time to focus on growing the business.”
