Cost Accountant

● Performs physical count for company’s raw materials, and finished goods ● Performs monthly reconciliation of raw materials - operations report vs accounting books

● Performs cost accounting process including analysis of production costs, administrative, selling and distribution expenses ● Performs monthly closing of books and report preparation ● Performs monthly validation of procedures to ensure proper controls are in place ● Performs Best Estimate process and report preparation for Financial Planning purposes ● Analyzes and ensures all transactions are recorded in the correct profit/ cost centers and account ● Prepares variance explanation for production costs, administrative, selling and distribution expenses - Current Month vs Previous Month, Current Month this year vs last year, Current Quarter vs Previous Quarter, Current Quarter this year vs last year, Current Year to Date vs last year ● Performs physical count for company’s raw materials, and finished goods ● Performs monthly reconciliation of raw materials - operations report vs accounting books ● Prepares journal entries for accruals, reclassifications, reversals, prepayments and deferrals ● Assists and provided reports as maybe needed by Internal Control Department and External Audits
