Y1 Sport is one of the fastest-growing sports brands in the UK, designing and supplying custom apparel to schools, universities, sports clubs and businesses across the world.
We're looking for an organised, proactive and ambitious Operations Assistant to join our Custom Clothing department. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem solving, working with people and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
You'll play a vital role in managing the journey of customer orders from production through to delivery, helping deliver an exceptional customer experience.
The Role
Working closely with Will (Operations Manager) you'll become an integral part of our operations team, ensuring orders move efficiently through production while maintaining excellent communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
No two days are the same, and you'll quickly gain exposure to every stage of our custom production process.
Key Responsibilities
Process and send customer orders into production.
Monitor production schedules to ensure lead times are achieved.
Liaise with overseas factories and internal departments.
Manage customer communication throughout the production process.
Monitor shared inboxes, resolve queries and arrange compensation where appropriate.
Upload shipments and production updates into our warehouse management software.
Ensure warehouse instructions are accurate and up to date.
Maintain and improve Google Sheets used throughout the department.
Support continuous improvements to internal systems and processes.

A strong communicator with excellent written and spoken English.

Essential Skills
Excellent written and verbal English.
Strong organisational skills.
Google Sheets.
Google Docs.
Google Calendar.
Google Meet.
Slack (or similar communication platforms).
Strong administrative and data-entry skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience with any of the following is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided:
Affinity Designer (preferred) or Adobe Photoshop.
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Order management software.
Process improvement and spreadsheet automation.
