We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Bookkeeper / Executive Assistant to support a growing Australian business. This is a long-term remote position suited to someone who enjoys a combination of finance, administration, and executive support.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable working independently while supporting business operations across multiple areas.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Bookkeeping (Approximately 40%)
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Reconcile bank and supplier accounts
• Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
• Assist with debt collection and payment tracking
• Process payroll using Xero
• Liaise with the external accounting firm when required
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Administration & Executive Support
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Organise and manage business documents
• Conduct online research and gather information
• Assist with planning meetings, events, and business activities
• Coordinate schedules and administrative tasks
• Provide day-to-day support to the business owner
• Assist with general business administration as required
Reporting & Business Support
• Prepare regular reports using Xero and Microsoft Excel
• Analyse financial and operational reports
• Identify trends, opportunities, or areas for improvement
• Provide recommendations based on data where appropriate
• Support process improvements and business efficiencies
Skills & Experience
• 2+ years' experience in bookkeeping, accounting, executive assistance, or a similar role
• Xero Certified (essential)
• Strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping principles
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong written and verbal English communication
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Comfortable learning new systems and business processes
