About The Role
MFLC Logistics is seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Management Planner to support our growing Australian transport and logistics operations.
This role is responsible for coordinating daily transport movements, allocating runs, managing freight schedules, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring deliveries are executed efficiently and on time.
The ideal candidate will have experience in transport coordination, dispatch, freight planning, or logistics administration, with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Planning & Allocations
Coordinate and allocate daily transport runs and delivery schedules
Plan efficient vehicle routes and freight movements
Allocate jobs to drivers and subcontractors
Monitor fleet movements and delivery progress
Ensure deliveries meet required timeframes and service standards
Adjust schedules and allocations based on operational requirements
Driver & Customer Coordination
Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, delays, and updates
Liaise with customers regarding bookings, ETAs, PODs, and delivery requirements
Handle transport-related issues and provide operational support
Escalate urgent delivery or compliance concerns when required
Freight & System Management
Update and maintain transport management systems (TMS)
Enter consignment details, booking information, and freight documentation
Track deliveries and maintain accurate POD records
Ensure all operational data is accurate and up to date
Assist with load planning and freight optimisation
Administrative & Reporting Support
Prepare transport reports and operational updates
Monitor KPI performance and delivery outcomes
Maintain allocation spreadsheets and scheduling trackers
Support invoicing and freight reconciliation processes where required
Assist management with operational planning and workflow improvements
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in transport coordination, dispatch, or logistics planning
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Ability to work in a fast-paced transport environment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Confident using transport systems, spreadsheets, and operational software
Ability to work independently and manage priorities remotely
Preferred Experience
Experience working with Australian transport or logistics companies
Knowledge of pallet freight, cold chain, or interstate transport operations
Experience using TMS platforms such as TransVirtual or similar systems
CRM or operational workflow management experience
Understanding of delivery scheduling, fleet allocation, and freight planning
