As a Tax Planning Associate, you will support the implementation of tax planning strategies for business owners and real estate investors. You will assist with tax research, analysis, client deliverables, tax projections, and strategic planning initiatives while working closely with senior tax planners and advisors. This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond tax compliance and develop expertise in proactive tax strategy.

Responsibilities
1. Tax Planning Support
Assist in implementing tax planning strategies for business owners and real estate investors
Gather, organize, and analyze client financial information to support planning recommendations
Assist with tax projections, scenario modeling, and tax savings calculations
Support the preparation of tax planning deliverables, reports, and client presentations
Conduct tax research and summarize findings for senior tax planners
2. Documentation & Project Coordination
Maintain organized client files, planning documents, and implementation trackers
Upload, track, and manage client documents within internal systems
Monitor progress of tax planning action items and implementation deadlines
Support the team in keeping planning workflows efficient and up to date
3. Client Support
Assist in responding to client inquiries and requests
Help ensure a smooth and professional client experience
Follow up on client action items related to tax planning implementations and recommendations
4. Team Collaboration
Work closely with senior tax professionals and managers
Apply feedback quickly to improve accuracy and efficiency
Support the team in executing tax planning engagements and strategic client initiatives

Qualifications
At least 2 years of US tax or accounting experience
Strong understanding of U.S. taxation concepts and tax-saving strategies
Experience reviewing tax returns and financial statements for planning opportunities
Experience supporting tax planning, tax advisory, accounting, bookkeeping, or tax compliance functions
With CPA, EA, or Tax Certifications is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret tax returns and identify planning opportunities
Comfortable working with financial statements and business financial data
Interest in tax strategy, advisory services, and long-term client outcomes
Good written and verbal English communication skills
Comfortable using accounting or tax software
Reliable, proactive, and team-oriented
Must have prior experience working U.S. business hours and collaborating with U.S.-based teams
Must own a Windows laptop/computer that meets the technical requirements of the role
Must have a stable high-speed internet connection and a reliable backup internet solution
Must have a dedicated, professional home office workspace free from distractions
