Position Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Operations Coordinator functions as part of Pulido Transport’s operational control tower. The role ensures the accuracy of load planning, shipment execution, equipment compliance, and operational data integrity.
This position requires strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced transportation environment.

Core Responsibilities
Transportation Planning & Dispatch Execution
• Create and validate transportation loads in the company’s Transportation Management System (PCS Express).
• Ensure accuracy of shipment information including pickup/delivery times, shipper, consignee, product details, and required documentation.
• Schedule and confirm pickup and delivery appointments with customers and facilities.
• Communicate dispatch instructions to drivers and confirm acknowledgment of load documentation, pickup instructions, and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate trailer drops, pickups, and equipment movements in collaboration with dispatch leadership.

Operational Monitoring & Issue Resolution
• Monitor shipments in transit and identify potential risks such as late pickups, late deliveries, or detention issues.
• Assist in resolving operational disruptions including rejected product, loading delays, equipment issues, or driver availability constraints.
• Coordinate with wash facilities, steam facilities, or service vendors when required to maintain shipment continuity.
• Escalate operational issues to the Dispatch Manager or Operations Manager when necessary.

Customer Service & Communication
• Provide real-time shipment updates to customers including driver location and estimated arrival times.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries related to shipment status or documentation.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, drivers, and internal operations teams.

Equipment & Compliance Management
• Track trailer locations and equipment readiness.
• Monitor prior cargo compliance and equipment compatibility using customer-specific prior cargo matrices including Exxon and other industry matrices.
• Ensure regulatory and customer requirements related to product compatibility and safety are followed.

Technology & Data Integration
• Enter shipment tracking data into third-party customer systems such as FourKites, Transplace, Ryder, and Project44.
• Provide tracking visibility through Samsara for customers who do not use external tracking systems.
• Assist with onboarding new customers into the PCS Express transportation system.

Operational Data Integrity
• Ensure shipment data, dispatch documentation, and system records remain accurate and updated.
• Support operational reporting and tracking of key performance indicators including on-time service and operational efficiency.

Operational Support
• Assist the Dispatch Manager and Operations Manager with additional operational tasks as required.
• Participate in rotational after-hours monitoring or on-call support when necessary to ensure shipment continuity.

Qualifications
Education (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
• Supply Chain Management
• Logistics
• Industrial Engineering
• Operations Management
• Business Administration (Supply Chain or Operations focus)
Skills
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• High attention to operational detail
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data management tools
