Job Description:
Mowana Care has successfully secured grants and several government contracts, and we’re now looking for a proven professional to take our government contracting efforts to the next level. We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Procurement / Government Contracts Specialist with a strong track record in government contracting and bid proposal management. In addition to core responsibilities in securing and managing contracts, the ideal candidate will also possess digital marketing and administrative skills as added bonus qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Contracting & Procurement:
Identify, evaluate, and pursue government contracting opportunities using platforms such as
Prepare, review, and submit competitive proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, ITBs, and other bid requests.
Develop and implement effective bidding strategies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Strategic Growth:
Build on our current success with grants and contracts by proactively expanding our portfolio of government contracting opportunities.
Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes to continuously refine procurement tactics.
Digital Marketing & Proposal Support (Bonus Skill):
Assist in developing digital marketing strategies to enhance our outreach and visibility in the government contracting space.
Support the creation of high-quality proposal content that effectively communicates our value proposition.
Administrative & Project Management:
Provide comprehensive administrative support as needed, including scheduling, documentation, and communication coordination.
Manage project timelines and maintain detailed records of all contract-related activities.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Demonstrated success in government contracting and securing government contracts and grants.
Proven ability to write winning proposals in response to government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and ITBs.
Experience in an administrative support role (e.g., Executive Assistant) and digital marketing is considered a strong plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in using procurement and bid management platforms such as
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with digital marketing tools.
Personal Attributes:
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and results-driven.
Able to adapt quickly to new roles, responsibilities, and technologies.
