Job Description

The Bookkeeper / Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, maintaining accurate bookkeeping, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and supporting the overall financial operations of the business. The ideal candidate must have relevant work experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

Responsibilities

Record and maintain accurate financial transactions.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.

Prepare financial statements and reports.

Monitor cash flow and financial activities.

Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Collaborate with management regarding budgeting and financial planning.

Qualifications

Must have prior relevant experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar accounting role.

Applicants without relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience will not be considered.

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.

Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an advantage.
