Profile Description

Hi, I'm Emjay — a full-stack developer from the Philippines with real-world experience shipping web apps, mobile apps, REST APIs, and IoT systems for actual clients.

On the web side, I build with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PHP, and Tailwind CSS. I develop WordPress sites with custom themes, custom post types, and Gutenberg customization. For mobile, I've built and delivered Flutter applications with Express/Node.js backends, Firebase Auth, Firestore, and Push Notifications.

On the backend and systems side, I've built and deployed production REST APIs, worked with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MS SQL Server, and built real-time systems using WebSocket and MQTT. I also develop IoT firmware in C++ and Python.

My strongest project is a Smart Passenger Counting System — sole developer across Arduino firmware, computer vision pipeline (PyTorch + OpenCV), and a live REST API receiving real-time data from the physical device.

I approach every project architecture-first: I map the problem and design the solution before writing code. I'm reliable, honest, and easy to work with async.
