Profile Description

I am a former accountant for a logistics company. In my role, I review, approve, and post transactions prepared by the finance operations team, ensuring that the correct account titles are used in journal entries and that invoices are paid on time with the correct amount due. We disburse payments to our vendors via ACH, checks, direct debit, etc. I also handle bank reconciliations, ensuring that all cash outflows are legitimate and properly authorized.
Before becoming an accountant, I worked in Accounts Payable, where I managed day-to-day invoice transactions and oversaw equipment rentals and repairs & maintenance. These tasks honed my attention to detail, as AP is one of the most intricate areas of accounting. I am also involved in account reconciliations and work closely with vendors' accounts receivable or credit specialists. Additionally, I handled credit card accounts, performing credit card reconciliations and ensuring that every transaction had supporting documentation.
