About the Role
We build and maintain a high volume of client websites — primarily for medical and professional-services practices, home-services brands, and our own affiliate/publishing properties. We're looking for an experienced WordPress developer who lives in Elementor and can take a Figma design and turn it into a fast, pixel-accurate, fully responsive site with minimal hand-holding.
This is a hands-on production role. On any given week you'll be building new sites from scratch, launching them, fixing things that break, running migrations, and keeping a portfolio of live client sites healthy. You'll work closely with our designers, account managers, copywriters, and SEO team.
You should be the kind of developer who diagnoses a site-breaking plugin conflict calmly, gives a realistic ETA, and ships.
What You'll Do
Build full websites in WordPress + Elementor from Figma mockups provided by our design team — including custom hero sections, accordions, interactive calculators, forms, and blog/post templates.
Make everything responsive. Pages must look right across all screen sizes, not just desktop.
Manage WP Engine environments — work across dev, staging, and live; take backups before launch; push staging to production.
Launch sites end to end — back up, go live, set up users, manage logins/passwords, and confirm everything works post-launch.
Maintain a portfolio of live sites — run WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates; isolate and fix critical errors; restore from backup and troubleshoot which plugin/update caused the issue.
Write custom CSS (and light HTML / PHP / JS) to style forms and components and to extend themes where Elementor alone won't do it.
Customize and maintain themes, including pushing theme updates through a Git repository.
Manage the plugin stack — research, install, configure, and troubleshoot third-party plugins (form tools, blog schedulers, affiliate/coupon plugins, etc.); resolve conflicts.
Handle migrations, domains, and DNS — domain transfers and DNS routing (GoDaddy, AWS/Route 53, Cloudflare); diagnose domain/email/DNS issues.
Migrate legacy landing pages (e.g., Instapage) into native WordPress/Elementor.
Implement and QA tracking — Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and call-tracking tools (e.g., WhatConverts); identify scripts causing site issues.
Integrate forms and tools — including GoHighLevel forms and custom-styled form builds.
Fix bugs — broken menus, header/footer issues, styling and layout problems across pages.
Communicate proactively — work your tasks in our project tools (
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on WordPress development in a production/agency-style environment.
Expert-level Elementor (Pro). You can build complex, custom, responsive layouts from a Figma file — not just drop in pre-made templates.
Strong CSS and comfort with light HTML, JavaScript, and PHP for customizations.
WP Engine experience (or a comparable managed WordPress host) — fluent with dev/staging/live workflows, backups, and Git-based or SFTP deployments.
Plugin fluency — strong instincts for diagnosing plugin conflicts and recovering sites from critical errors.
Migrations, domains, and DNS basics — you've moved sites, transferred domains, and untangled DNS before.
Analytics implementation — comfortable installing and validating GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
Excellent written English and reliable, proactive async communication.
Self-managing — you give realistic ETAs, hit them, and keep your tickets organized in a PM tool.

Git / version control workflow with custom WordPress themes
Page speed optimization / Core Web Vitals experience
Experience managing a high volume of sites in an agency setting
GoHighLevel, advanced form builders, or membership/booking plugins
