WordPress Designer (Elementor + HTML/CSS)

Overview:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented WordPress Designer to join our team, specializing in crafting visually compelling and user-friendly websites using Elementor and other page builders such as Divi, WPBakery (if required). The ideal candidate has a strong design sense, is proficient in HTML and CSS, and understands how to bring design concepts to life within the WordPress ecosystem.

This role requires a mix of creative talent and technical execution — someone who can take design briefs, build beautiful and functional layouts, and optimize for responsiveness, accessibility, and performance.



Key Responsibilities:

Design and build responsive WordPress websites using Elementor, custom CSS/HTML where needed, and other page builders such as Divi, WPBakery (if required)
Translate design briefs or mockups into clean, functional website layouts
Collaborate with developers, content creators, and project managers to deliver high-quality websites
Maintain and update existing WordPress sites, ensuring design consistency and performance
Optimize design elements for speed, SEO, and user experience
Ensure all designs are mobile-friendly and accessible
Stay current with design trends, WordPress tools, and Elementor capabilities
Assist in developing design systems or reusable templates for efficient site production



Required Skills & Qualifications:

2+ years of experience designing for WordPress, ideally in an agency or fast-paced environment
Strong experience with Elementor (Pro preferred) and customizing layouts
Proficient in HTML and CSS; able to tweak styles beyond what visual builders allow
Solid understanding of responsive design, UX/UI principles, and typography
Ability to take a project from concept to completion
Strong portfolio of WordPress sites demonstrating design and implementation skills
Attention to detail and a passion for clean, elegant, and accessible design
Basic knowledge of WordPress plugins, themes, and CMS structure



Nice to Have:
Familiarity with JavaScript or PHP basics
Experience with Adobe XD, Figma, or other design tools
Understanding of SEO best practices and page speed optimization
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG)
