Website Designer – Remote

We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented Website Designer to join our team. Your very first mission will be a big one: helping us transition our current live website from Squarespace over to WordPress, utilizing a specific theme framework on Base44. We need someone who can hit the ground running, manage this migration smoothly, and make sure everything looks pristine on the other side.

Once our main site is successfully transitioned, you will become a core part of our internal team—designing, building, optimizing, and fixing up websites for our diverse lineup of clients.

-Portfolio First: This role is all about clean design and execution. We care far more about your actual work and problem-solving skills than formal degrees or perfect English.

-Creative & Technical Freedom: We aren't tied to a rigid, micromanaged workflow. We care about the final result, clean code/layouts, and your ability to build functional, beautiful websites that capture attention.

What You'll Do:
1. The First Project: Lead the seamless migration of our internal live website from Squarespace/Base44 to WordPress.
2. Client Work: Conceptualize, design, and build responsive websites for our clients from scratch or using existing frameworks.
3. Maintenance & Polish: Jump into existing client sites to fix bugs, improve UI/UX, update layouts, and ensure everything runs fast and looks sharp.
4. Collaborate: Work directly with our internal team to turn rough wireframes, design briefs, and client feedback into polished, modern web experiences.

What We’re Looking For:
1. The Magic Touch: A solid portfolio showing a strong eye for typography, layout, modern web aesthetics, and clean user experiences.
2. Migration Experience: Proven experience successfully moving content, assets, and design elements from one CMS to another without breaking SEO or design integrity.
3. Communication: Reliable and responsive in team communication. Your English does NOT need to be perfect—just enough to clearly collaborate with our team.
4. Execution: Ability to follow directions, take constructive feedback, and deliver clean, modern web designs on time.

Software & Platform Skills:
-Core Platforms: WordPress (Expert) & Squarespace (Proficient for migration handling).
-Frameworks & Themes: Base44 theme ecosystem.
-eCommerce: Shopify/WooCommerce
-Design & Prototyping: Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop.
-Bonus Points: Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JS for troubleshooting, or experience with builders like Elementor/Divi.

-Internal Only: This is a non-client-facing role—you will work directly with our internal team to execute client projects.
-Talent > Degrees: We care about talent, speed, and quality over degrees or years of experience. If your work is strong, we want to see it, even if you're entirely self-taught.
