Role Overview
We're looking for a skilled Web Developer to join our team on a project basis. You'll be building, launching, and maintaining websites across a range of clients and industries, working from design files and brand guidelines provided by our in-house design team. Beyond execution, we need someone who can think critically, offer sound technical recommendations, and communicate confidently with clients when needed. This is a project-based role paid in fixed-rate with ongoing volume as our client roster grows. Due to the nature of our work, a signed NDA is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities
Site Builds: Build and launch websites across platforms — primarily WordPress, with Webflow, Squarespace, Duda, and others as needed per project.

Design Implementation: Accurately translate provided design files and brand guidelines into clean, production-ready sites.

E-Commerce Setup: Configure e-commerce functionality including product listings, sales flows, and payment integrations when required.

Plugin & App Integration: Integrate third-party tools as needed — email capture, analytics, review widgets, social links, and more.

SEO Fundamentals: Apply on-page SEO best practices including page titles, meta descriptions, URL structures, and site speed optimization.

Technical Recommendations: Proactively flag issues, suggest better solutions, and advise on platform or tool choices when relevant.

Client Communication: Represent the team professionally in client-facing conversations when called upon.

Mobile Optimization: Ensure all sites are fully responsive and performant across devices.

Handoff: Deliver clean, documented sites so clients can manage their own content going forward.

Remote Coordination: Work independently and stay in sync with our team via Slack.

Hourly Pay: Compensation is fixed for the duration of each project.
Project-Based: Engagement occurs per project with clear delivery milestones.
Flexible Remote Work: Work from your own space while coordinating with an international team.

Required Skills & Qualifications
WordPress Expertise: Deep, proven experience building and customizing WordPress sites — this is the primary platform. Portfolio of live sites required.

Multi-Platform Proficiency: Ability to work across Webflow, Squarespace, Duda, Shopify, Wix, or similar platforms depending on project needs.

Technical Proficiency: Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; PHP knowledge is a strong plus.

SEO Knowledge: Working knowledge of on-page SEO practices and performance optimization.

E-Commerce Capability: Ability to set up and configure e-commerce functionality across platforms when required.

Communication Skills: Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients and stakeholders.

Remote Setup: Access to a high-performance computer and a reliable internet connection.

Discretion: Total commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting client data.

Nice to Have
Experience with email marketing integrations (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, etc.)
Familiarity with staging environments and structured client handoff documentation
Experience working within a creative agency or alongside a design team
