Video Editor Virtual Assistant

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor (Virtual Assistant) to produce high-quality long-form and short-form video content for digital platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for storytelling, pacing, and audience retention, and is experienced in editing engaging videos for YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

You'll work closely with the content team to transform raw recordings into polished, branded videos that educate, inform, and engage audiences.

Must be available during U.S. Eastern Time business hours

Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Edit long-form videos, including podcasts, interviews, and educational content for YouTube and websites.
- Create engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Add accurate captions and subtitles to improve accessibility and engagement.
- Enhance videos with b-roll, graphics, lower-thirds, transitions, and light motion graphics.
- Perform basic color correction, audio enhancement, noise reduction, and sound balancing.
- Maintain consistent branding by following templates, fonts, colors, logos, intros, and outros.
- Organize and manage video assets, project files, and backups using Google Drive.
- Work within a content calendar or project management system to meet production deadlines.
- Implement revisions promptly based on feedback.
- Communicate project progress and collaborate effectively with the marketing and content team.


Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio of long-form and short-form content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience editing content for YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
- Experience adding captions, subtitles, graphics, and basic motion effects.
- Basic knowledge of color correction and audio editing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Comfortable using Google Drive and project management tools.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve workflow is a plus.
