This role is focused on transforming raw footage into polished, high-performing advertisements that capture attention quickly, communicate a clear message, and encourage viewers to take action.
### Key Responsibilities
* Edit short-form video advertisements, typically ranging from 15 to 60 seconds.
* Turn raw footage into engaging, fast-paced content designed for
* Create multiple variations of advertisements using different hooks, pacing, messaging, and calls to action.
* Add motion graphics, animated text, captions, transitions, and visual effects.
* Use Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects to create professional, polished content.
* Select appropriate music, sound effects, and supporting footage.
* Format videos for different Meta placements, including Reels, Stories, and feed advertisements.
* Follow brand guidelines while adapting editing styles for different clients and industries.
* Collaborate with the creative and advertising teams to improve content based on campaign performance.
* Organize project files, footage, graphics, and completed exports.
### Required Skills
* Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
* Working proficiency in Adobe After Effects.
* Experience creating motion graphics, animated typography, and branded graphic elements.
* Strong understanding of short-form video pacing and attention-grabbing openings.
* Ability to create clean captions and graphics that are easy to read on mobile devices.
* Strong sense of storytelling, timing, music selection, and visual composition.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Attention to detail and willingness to make revisions based on feedback.
### Preferred Experience
* Previous experience editing paid social media advertisements.
* Understanding of Meta advertising creative, including hooks, retention, calls to action, and different stages of customer awareness.
* Experience editing content for service businesses, contractors, equipment companies, or other blue-collar industries.
* Familiarity with reviewing advertising metrics and using performance data to guide creative decisions.
* Experience with color correction, audio cleanup, motion tracking, masking, and basic visual effects.
### What Success Looks Like
A successful editor in this role can take raw footage and independently develop several strong advertising variations. Their edits capture attention within the first few seconds, clearly communicate the offer, maintain viewer interest, and match the client’s brand.
The ideal candidate combines technical editing ability with an understanding of what makes short-form advertising content perform.
