Remote Medical Billing Specialist (SimplePractice Experience Required)

Raincross Family Counseling is a growing group psychotherapy practice based in California. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Remote Medical Billing Specialist to join our administrative team. This position is ideal for someone with prior experience using SimplePractice and familiarity with behavioral health insurance billing.

Responsibilities:
Review and correct claim rejections and denials on Simple Practice
Verify that claims are entered accurately and submitted in a timely manner
Track outstanding claims and unpaid balances
Follow up on claim statuses as directed
Maintain accurate documentation of billing activities
Assist with insurance eligibility checks when needed
Communicate with our internal administrative team regarding billing issues
Monitor clearinghouse reports and identify billing errors
Help maintain clean and accurate client billing records

Requirements:

Prior experience using SimplePractice is strongly preferred
Experience with medical billing, insurance claims, or behavioral health billing
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written English communication skills
Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment
Ability to follow established systems and procedures
Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
Experience with U.S. insurance billing is a plus
Familiarity with therapy, counseling, or mental health practices is a plus
