JOB OVERVIEW

Purpose of the Position

The Temporary HRIS Transition Assistant will provide hands-on administrative and data support during the company’s transition from Paylocity to Paycom.

This is a fast-paced, task-focused position for someone who is comfortable working on a computer throughout the day, learning new systems quickly, and completing a high volume of repetitive assignments accurately.

The primary responsibility is to help download, organize, transfer, upload, enter, and verify information as it is moved from Paylocity into Paycom. The assistant may also help build training materials, upload training content, create or enter knowledge checks and tests, and complete other system setup tasks.

This is not a senior HRIS, technical implementation, or strategic HR position. The ideal candidate is dependable, works quickly, follows instructions, stays organized, and is willing to help wherever needed.


Core Responsibilities

* Download training modules, employee records, reports, documents, and other information from Paylocity.

* Organize and rename downloaded files according to established instructions.

* Prepare spreadsheets, CSV files, documents, and other information for upload into Paycom.

* Upload, enter, or transfer information into the correct Paycom locations.

* Assist with employee profile setup and other assigned system configuration tasks.

* Complete Paycom training modules to quickly learn the system.

* Help build or upload employee training courses, instructions, documents, and resources in Paycom.

* Add quizzes, tests, knowledge checks, or acknowledgments to assigned training materials.

* Compare information between Paylocity, spreadsheets, and Paycom to confirm that records were transferred correctly.

* Identify missing, incomplete, duplicated, or incorrectly entered information.

* Correct basic errors according to documented instructions.

* Track completed assignments, outstanding items, errors, and questions.

* Provide regular progress updates to the project lead.

* Follow established naming conventions, file-storage procedures, and data-entry standards.

* Protect confidential employee and company information.

* Complete other administrative HRIS transition tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications

* Strong general computer skills.

* A reliable, fast-functioning computer capable of handling multiple browser tabs, spreadsheets, downloads, uploads, and web-based systems.

* Stable and dependable high-speed internet connection.

* Ability to learn new software and online systems quickly.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Ability to complete repetitive tasks without losing accuracy.

* Comfortable working with spreadsheets, files, folders, downloads, and uploads.

* Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

* Strong organizational and file-management skills.

* Ability to follow detailed written instructions and checklists.

* Ability to work independently and maintain a steady pace.

* Good written English communication skills.

* Willingness to complete a high volume of administrative work within short deadlines.

* Ability to handle confidential employee information appropriately.



Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience with Paycom, Paylocity, or another HRIS platform.

* Experience entering, cleaning, transferring, or auditing employee data.

* Experience uploading training materials into a learning management system.

* Experience creating quizzes, tests, acknowledgments, or knowledge checks.

* Previous administrative, data-entry, HR support, virtual assistant, or implementation-support experience.

* Familiarity with CSV files, spreadsheets, document naming conventions, and bulk uploads.


Equipment and Work Environment Requirements

Candidates must have:

* A reliable computer with sufficient speed and memory for web-based HR systems.

* Reliable high-speed internet.

* A quiet and secure work environment.

* The ability to store and access company files securely.

* Availability to work full-time for the duration of the 1–2 month project.

Temporary Position Notice

This is a temporary project-based position expected to last approximately one to two months. The duration may be shortened or extended depending on the progress of the Paycom implementation and the company’s operational needs. Continued employment after the transition project is not guaranteed.
