We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and scale backend systems that power AI-driven products. You'll work at the intersection of traditional backend engineering and modern agentic AI architectures, building the infrastructure that lets AI agents operate reliably in production.
Responsibilities
Design and build scalable, production-grade backend services and APIs (Python/Node.js/Java)
Architect and implement agentic workflows using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or OpenAI Assistants API
Integrate LLM APIs, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration into production systems
Own data architecture, including schema design, event models, and storage layers optimized for scale and auditability
Build resilient infrastructure primitives such as queues, retries, idempotency, observability, and backpressure handling
Implement CI/CD pipelines and use containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for deployment
Integrate agents with microservices, cloud platforms, and enterprise data systems
Conduct POCs and runtime optimizations to improve agent performance, latency, and cost efficiency
Collaborate with product, ML, and platform teams to translate business needs into scalable agent-powered solutions
Stay current on advances in LLMs, agent frameworks, reasoning engines, and cognitive architectures
Required Qualifications
3 to 6+ years of professional backend software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in Python (or Go/Java/Node.js) and building typed, production APIs (e.g., FastAPI + Pydantic)
Hands-on experience with at least one agentic AI framework (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or similar)
Experience with LLM APIs, prompt/context design, and RAG pipelines
Solid grasp of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and microservices
Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB) and ideally vector databases
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), containerization, and IaC (Terraform)
Comfort using AI-native dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in daily workflow
Bachelor's in CS or equivalent practical experience
Nice to Have
Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol)
Frontend exposure (React/Next.js) for full-stack flexibility
Prior work in fintech, customer support automation, or other high-reliability domains
