We're looking for a hands-on Development Team Lead to manage our team of 4 developers, with plans to grow to 6. You'll work closely with both the development team and operations, helping deliver projects while providing technical leadership, mentoring, and process improvements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading developers while remaining actively involved in coding, architecture, and technical decision-making.
Responsibilities
-Lead, mentor, and support a team of 4–6 developers
-Serve as the primary point of contact between the development team and operations
-Oversee project delivery and ensure GitHub repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, and development workflows are well managed
-Help the team adopt AI-assisted development tools and best practices to improve productivity
-Coach the team on project management standards and tools, including Asana, GitHub, Slack, and Google Workspace
-Ensure development tools, monitoring systems, and team processes operate smoothly
-Review code, provide technical guidance, and contribute to software architecture when needed
-Stay involved in development by contributing to technical solutions and supporting the team with hands-on coding when required
-Experience implementing AI-assisted development workflows
-Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment workflows
Requirements
-At least 3 years of experience leading a software development team or serving as a Senior Software Engineer with team leadership responsibilities
-Strong hands-on coding experience with the ability to review code, contribute to production code, and design scalable technical solutions
-Strong understanding of GitHub, Git workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and version control best practices
-Experience with Next.js and modern full-stack web development is preferred
-Experience using Asana, Slack, GitHub, and Google Workspace
-Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
-Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
-Able to coordinate effectively between technical teams and operations while keeping projects on track

-Experience improving engineering processes and team productivity
