ServiceNow & Excel Reporting Analyst

Core Responsibilities
• Perform data extraction, filtering, and lookups in Microsoft Excel to support recurring reporting needs.
• Use XLOOKUP (and related functions such as INDEX/MATCH, FILTER) to consolidate and cross-reference data across multiple sources.
• Extract records and reports from ServiceNow, including navigating the CMDB using breadcrumbs and filters to locate relevant configuration items.
• Save and reuse ServiceNow queries/filters for recurring or future requests.
• Populate email templates using extracted data, ensuring accuracy and consistency before send.
• Draft and send routine communications based on data triggers or scheduled cadences.
• Flag data discrepancies, missing records, or anomalies for review.

Required Qualifications
Must Have:
• In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to filter datasets and build/use XLOOKUP formulas accurately.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow, including report extraction and CMDB navigation via breadcrumbs and filters.
• Ability to save, organize, and re-run queries for repeat use.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with sensitive or operational data.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
• Ability to write and maintain VBA scripts to automate repetitive Excel tasks.
• Experience automating message generation or notifications (e.g., mail merge, scripted email drafts).
• Prior experience supporting IT operations, service desk, or asset management functions.


Communication & Reporting
• Preferred communication channel: [Text / Email / Voice]
• Standing meeting cadence: Daily check-in (15 min) to review priorities, in-progress requests, and blockers.
• Weekly recap meeting: to review completed deliverables, open queries, and upcoming needs
• Ad hoc calls as needed for new or complex requests



Growth Opportunity
• Starting rate: $5.00 / hour.
• At the 3-month mark, rate increases to $7.00 / hour, contingent on satisfactory performance and consistent delivery against the responsibilities outlined in this SOW.
• At the 6-month mark, rate and scope will be reviewed together to determine next steps (continued increase, expanded hours, or expanded responsibilities).

The Contractor agrees to treat all data accessed through ServiceNow, Excel files, or related systems as confidential, and will not share, export, or retain data outside the scope of this engagement without written permission.
