Title: Sales Development Representative (Remote – Contract)
Classification: Independent Contractor
Reports to: Anthony Seiveno, Head of Marketing
Date: June 2026
Location: Remote, Arizona time zone overlap required
Pay Range: $8/hr USD
Hours: 20 hours per week; 1:00 PM–5:00 PM Arizona time (MST/MDT)

Summary/Objective:
NextSpace is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to drive outbound prospecting and lead qualification for our professional venue rental business in North Scottsdale, Arizona. This is a remote contract role built for someone who communicates confidently in spoken and written English, can sustain a high-volume outreach rhythm, and understands that their job ends at the handoff—not the close.
You will be reaching out to corporate event planners, HR teams booking company offsites, and similar decision-makers. When a prospect expresses genuine interest in booking a meeting, event, or tour, you pass them to our internal team. Clean handoffs, accurate CRM notes, and consistent follow-through are what success looks like in this role.
This is not a BPO or call center position. You will work directly with U.S.-based tea ---------- mbers who are accessible, responsive, and invested in your success.

Essential Functions:
• Outbound Calling: Execute approximately 100 outbound calls per day targeting corporate event planners, HR teams, and related decision-makers. Introduce NextSpace, qualify interest, and handle initial objections professionally.
Email Outreach: Send approximately 100 outbound emails per day using approved templates and sequences. Personalize where appropriate to improve open and response rates.
• Lead Qualification: Identify whether a prospect has a near-term need for event space or meeting room(s). When interest is confirmed, hand off to the internal team with full context.
• Follow-Up Management: Maintain a disciplined follow-up cadence on all active prospects. No lead falls through the cracks without a documented reason.
• CRM Activity Logging: Record all calls, emails, and prospect notes in HubSpot in real time. The internal team relies on your notes before every handoff conversation.
• Pipeline Handoff: When a prospect is ready to book a tour, schedule a meeting, or discuss a specific event, flag them immediately and brief the team. Your handoff summary should include the prospect’s name, company, need, timeline, and any relevant details so the internal team isn’t starting from scratch.
• Weekly Reporting: Provide a brief weekly summary of outreach volume, responses, qualified leads, and any patterns worth flagging.

Competencies & Skills:
• English Communication: Clear, confident spoken and written English is a hard requirement. You will be tested on this during the interview process. Accent is not a disqualifier—clarity and professionalism are.
• Phone Presence: Comfortable initiating cold calls without sounding scripted. You can hold a real conversation, handle a no gracefully, and move on without losing ---------- ntum.
Email Discipline: Able to write concise, direct outreach emails that feel personal, not templated. No copy-paste blasting.
• Volume Capacity: This role requires sustained high-output work within a focused 4-hour window. You manage your own time, hit your numbers, and flag blockers early.
• CRM Proficiency: Prior experience logging calls and managing contacts in HubSpot or a similar CRM. Clean data is non-negotiable.
• Coachability: Open to feedback on messaging, tone, and targeting. You refine your approach based on what works, not what feels comfortable.

Compensation & Benefits:
• Pay: $8/hr USD
• Hours: 20 hours per week. Shifts run 1:00 PM–5:00 PM Arizona time (MST/MDT).
• Health Stipend: A $1,000 annual healthcare stipend is provided after 90 days on the job to support healthcare coverage.
• PTO: Paid time off provided. Details discussed during the offer process.
• Structure: This is an independent contractor engagement. You will not be treated like a call center agent—you will be treated like a trusted extension of our team.

Minimum Requirements:
• Strong spoken and written English proficiency (tested during interviews).
• 1+ year of experience in outbound sales, appointment setting, or a phone-based customer-facing role.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace suitable for daily phone calls.
• Experience using HubSpot or a comparable CRM for activity logging and pipeline management.
• Availability to work 1:00 PM–5:00 PM Arizona time (MST/MDT), Monday through Friday.

Preferred Experience:
• Prior SDR or BDR role targeting U.S.-based businesses.
• Familiarity with corporate event planning, hospitality, or B2B services.
• Comfort discussing pricing, availability, and services over the phone without a script.

Affirmative Action/EEO Statement:
NextSpace is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We hire first on core values, then on experience, knowledge, and education. Factors outside of these four areas are not considered in the application and hiring process. This includes race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, or other personal factors that have nothing to do with ability and job performance. Other Duties:
This job description is not designed to cover all activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the contractor for this engagement. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
