Following our recent development and pilot agreements with major industry merchants like MKM and Selco, we are expanding our operations and seeking a remote Quantity Surveyor to bring their traditional expertise to our cutting-edge technology.

The Role

We are looking for a forward-thinking Quantity Surveyor to join our remote team. While our AI software does the heavy lifting of extracting data and generating initial estimates, your extensive industry experience is essential to validate our outputs, ensure strict compliance with recognised UK industry standards, and refine our cost databases.You will be instrumental during our upcoming commercial pilots, ensuring that the automated estimates provided to our merchant partners and users are robust, realistic, and commercially sound.

Key Responsibilities

Validate AI-generated Bills of Quantities and project cost estimates to ensure absolute accuracy. Review automated material and labour take-offs against original architectural drawings. Provide expert, continuous feedback to our development team to help train and improve the machine learning models. Support the rollout of pilot programmes with key partners, ensuring high-quality commercial data. Assist in the commercial validation of projects generated through our platform's marketplace, bridging the gap between property owners and trades. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK construction costs, supply chain fluctuations, and industry regulations.

Requirements
Extensive professional experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the UK construction industry. Deep knowledge of traditional estimating methods, cost planning, and commercial management. A keen interest in construction technology and a desire to help digitise the sector. Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with software developers and product managers in a remote setting. A proactive mindset, comfortable navigating the dynamic environment of an ambitious startup.
