Remote Independent Contractor Role

SUMMARY:
• Location: Remote / Philippines-based contractor
• Experience: 4+ years of project management, supply chain, logistics, product development, sporting goods, apparel, or related experience
• Engagement Type: Independent contractor
• Expected Service Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
• Availability: Regular overlap with the Synergy team Monday–Friday, 11:00am–5:00pm US Pacific Time / 2:00am–8:00am Manila Time
• Contractor Rate: $10/hour, paid monthly upon receipt of invoice
• Additional Contractor Payments: Eligible for a discretionary year-end contractor payment and $50/month contractor support allowance

Synergy Wetsuits is a triathlon wetsuit, apparel, and accessories company based in Minden, Nevada, USA. We are looking for an experienced Product Development Coordinator to support our product development team with research, sampling, costing packages, trim details, sourcing, vendor communication, logistics coordination, and production follow-up.

This is a remote independent contractor engagement. The contractor will work with the Synergy team on product development tasks, production timelines, vendor follow-ups, sample tracking, and shipment coordination. The right person is organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple moving pieces without constant supervision.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Product Development Coordinator will support the product development process from concept, design, sampling, production, and release. This role will help track product development timelines, communicate with overseas vendors, follow up on samples and revisions, organize product details, and coordinate information between internal teams and external partners.

The contractor will collaborate closely with the product development team and management to understand the creative direction of each product and help move projects forward. This includes supporting seasonal product calendars, vendor communication, sample tracking, shipment coordination, costing updates, and product documentation.

Regular team overlap is needed Monday–Friday, 11:00am–5:00pm US Pacific Time / 2:00am–8:00am Manila Time.

A background check may be required as part of the contractor screening process.

MUST HAVES:

• 4+ years of project management, supply chain, logistics, product development, sporting goods, apparel, or related experience
• Experience using Asana or a similar project management platform
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong follow-up and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines at the same time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with vendors and internal teams
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to improve processes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goals-oriented environment
• Ability to communicate professionally with vendors, tea ---------- mbers, and management
• Availability for regular team overlap Monday–Friday, 11:00am–5:00pm US Pacific Time / 2:00am–8:00am Manila Time

NICE TO HAVES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Textiles, or a related field
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop or Illustrator
• Experience in triathlon, swimming, sporting goods, apparel, or performance products
• Personal interest in triathlon, swimming, endurance sports, or fitness

SCOPE OF SERVICES:

• Create and manage the production calendar
• Create and manage product development status updates in Asana
• Support product development from initial concept, design, sampling, production, and release
• Conduct viability research for concept products
• Communicate product updates, timelines, and issues to internal teams and overseas vendors
• Track samples, revisions, approvals, and development progress
• Coordinate with product development, design, production, planning, materials, and quality-related teams
• Coordinate international shipments and customs clearance
• Organize product information for the Product Development, Marketing, Design, and vendor teams
• Help ensure target pricing, product details, and development timelines stay aligned
• Create and update weekly product development reports
• Create and maintain product packets
• Support the Product Manager with product development coordination and day-to-day project needs
