We're scaling premium DTC brands (starting with a women's activewear label) and we're looking for ONE exceptional performance video editor to own our paid-social ad creative — the kind of editor whose ads actually stop the scroll and SELL.
This is NOT generic video editing. We want someone who lives short-form ad creative: killer hooks, ruthless retention editing, and a deep understanding that the EDIT is what makes an ad convert. If you've edited ads for DTC / ecom brands that scaled, you're exactly who we want.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Edit scroll-stopping paid-social ads (TikTok, Reels, Meta) from UGC + raw footage.
• Craft hooks that win the first 3 seconds, and edit for maximum hold/retention (pacing, pattern interrupts, captions, sound design, b-roll, motion).
• Deliver high volume + fast iterations — lots of variations to test hooks, angles and formats.
• Own the ad creative for SCULVI and every new brand we launch.
• Work closely with our creative strategist — you turn concepts into ads that convert.
YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU
• Have edited paid ads for DTC / ecom brands that actually scaled (you'll show them).
• Are a master of hooks + retention — you understand hook rate, hold rate, thumbstop, CTR.
• Are fast, high-volume, and obsessed with CONVERSION (not just "pretty" edits).
• Know CapCut + Premiere Pro (After Effects / motion graphics a big plus).
• Have a native feel for TikTok / Reels (platform-native, not corporate).
• Communicate clearly in English and hit deadlines.
THE SETUP
Full-time, long-term, work-from-home. You grow with us as we scale from one brand to a full portfolio. This role directly drives revenue — one of the most important hires we'll make.
HOW TO APPLY (read carefully)
1) Start your message with the word "HOOK" so I know you actually read this.
2) Send 3–5 examples of paid ads YOU edited that performed/scaled (links or a short reel of your best ad work).
3) Tell me which DTC / ecom brands you've worked with — especially ones that scaled.
4) In 2–3 sentences: how do you approach a hook and maximize retention?
5) Your tools, how many ads/week you can deliver, your availability, and your rate.
I review every reel myself. Shortlisted editors do a small PAID test (edit one ad from our raw footage) before we commit. Only editors with real, proven ad work — let's make creative that scales.
