JOB OVERVIEW

***This is a specialist technical role, not a general VA or entry-level position. Applications that don't directly answer the numbered questions below with specific technical experience will not be considered.

A fast-growing SaaS company is looking for a specialist to own the health of our social media automation integration — specifically Meta's Graph API and OAuth 2.0 token layer for Facebook and Instagram.

The system was built and running, then broke at the OAuth/API integration layer. Posting, reposting, and automated comment actions are currently failing. This is not a "figure out the basics" role — it's a diagnose-and-fix role for someone who has lived inside Meta's developer ecosystem and knows exactly where these integrations tend to break.

This starts as a defined fix engagement. If the integration is stable after 30 days, this converts to an ongoing monthly retainer.

What you'll work on:
Diagnosing and resolving current OAuth token/authentication failures on Facebook and Instagram automation
Meta App Review, permissions scopes, and webhook subscriptions
Long-lived token refresh flows and account reconnection handling
Ongoing monitoring so integrations don't silently break again
TikTok API familiarity is a plus, not a requirement

What you bring:
Hands-on production experience with Meta Graph API and OAuth 2.0 (not tutorial-level — shipped, maintained integrations)
Experience with Meta App Review / Business verification processes
Comfortable reading API error logs and webhook payloads to isolate root cause
Node.js or similar backend experience to implement fixes, not just diagnose them

Application questions:
1. Describe a Meta/Facebook API integration you've built or maintained. What broke, and how did you find the root cause?
2. Have you been through Meta's App Review process? What was the hardest permission to get approved?
3. When a long-lived access token stops working with no visible error, what's your first move?
4. Some engineers prefer fixing what's broken; others prefer rebuilding it clean. Which are you, and why?

Top 3 Skills we are looking for: Facebook Graph API, OAuth 2.0, Meta App Review
Additional skills: Instagram API, Webhooks, Node.js, API Debugging, TikTok API, REST APIs

Let us know which skills you possess!

Thanks
