Lead Full-Stack Developer

World Corp Digital is seeking a highly capable, hands-on Lead Full-Stack Developer to help design, build, improve, and maintain a growing portfolio of business applications and digital products.

This is a high-ownership, individual-contributor position for a developer who can work across business requirements, product design, architecture, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. It is not a purely managerial or advisory role. The successful candidate will personally write, review, test, and maintain production code while working directly with company management.

We are building a growing ecosystem of:

- Business applications
- Internal management systems
- Public-facing websites
- Online platforms and marketplaces
- Customer and administrative portals

The successful developer will help determine how applications should be structured, which technologies should be used, how systems should work together, and how business ideas can be converted into reliable and maintainable software.

We want someone who can understand what the business needs, evaluate the available options, and recommend the most suitable framework, architecture, database, hosting approach, and development structure for each project.


Work Location and Relocation

The application process, technical assessment, and interviews will be conducted online. Applicants will not be required to attend a physical office during recruitment or before March 2027.

This position is not intended to remain permanently remote. The successful candidate is expected to relocate to a company location in Central America around March 2027 and work from a company office after relocation.

The company will sponsor and coordinate the required work authorization and immigration process. The successful candidate will not be expected to relocate without confirmed immigration approval, finalized housing arrangements, and written employment terms.

The exact country, city, immigration arrangements, office details, and housing information will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates during the initial interview and before they are asked to complete the technical assessment.

Employment and Compensation

This is intended to be a full-time, stable, long-term position. Before relocation, the successful candidate will work remotely from the Philippines according to an agreed full-time schedule and report directly to company management.

The proposed compensation and relocation package includes:

- $3,000 USD monthly base compensation
- Company-provided two-bedroom apartment
- Company-paid electricity and basic utilities
- Company-paid internet and television service
- Medical insurance
- Transportation allowance
- One company-paid round-trip flight to the Philippines each year
- Paid vacation leave

The employee will generally be responsible for their own food and personal expenses.

Complete compensation, tax treatment, working hours, leave conditions, immigration assistance, flight eligibility, housing rules, and other employment terms will be stated in the final written employment agreement.


Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will generally include:

- Working with management to understand business requirements, priorities, and long-term objectives.
- Turning business ideas into clear software requirements and practical development plans.
- Recommending the most appropriate technology stack and architecture for each project.
- Designing and building complete software applications from concept through release.
- Developing both user-facing and administrative functionality.
- Connecting applications with databases, APIs, external services, and business systems.
- Reviewing existing software and determining what should be retained, improved, refactored, or replaced.
- Identifying technical risks, security weaknesses, performance problems, and incomplete workflows.
- Writing clean, secure, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Testing and verifying applications before release.
- Diagnosing and resolving defects and production problems.
- Maintaining documentation so systems can be understood, transferred, and supported over time.
- Helping establish consistent engineering, security, testing, and quality standards.
- Monitoring released products and responding responsibly when problems occur.
- Providing management with honest technical recommendations, realistic estimates, and early warnings about risks.
- Taking ownership of assigned products and following work through to a verified result.

The exact balance of frontend, backend, database, architecture, integration, and infrastructure work will depend on the needs of each product.

We expect the successful developer to be highly capable with modern, widely adopted technologies used to build professional web applications, SaaS products, marketplaces, business systems, and digital platforms.

You should be able to evaluate technology based on:

- Product requirements
- Expected users and scale
- Development speed
- Security and data protection

- Performance and reliability
- Integration requirements
- Hosting and operating costs
- Availability of long-term support
- Ease of transferring the system to another qualified developer

We are not looking for someone who automatically applies the same framework to every project. The strongest applicant may specialize in particular technologies while demonstrating enough breadth and technical judgment to select the right solution for different products.


AI-Assisted Development

World Corp Digital uses modern AI-assisted development tools and expects the successful developer to use them responsibly.

Experience with tools such as Codex, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, v0, or similar platforms is valuable.

The successful developer should be able to:

- Use AI to accelerate research, planning, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Give AI tools clear and effective technical instructions.
- Review and verify AI-generated code critically.
- Detect insecure, incomplete, fabricated, or unnecessarily complicated implementations.
- Correct AI-generated mistakes instead of accepting them blindly.
- Understand and explain the code they approve.
- Make independent technical decisions when an AI recommendation is unsuitable.
- Take full professional responsibility for the final result.

We need a developer with a real programming foundation who can use AI as a powerful engineering tool without sacrificing security, maintainability, or software quality.


Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

- A strong foundation in software development and computer programming.
- Substantial hands-on experience building real software applications.
- Experience taking a software product from requirements through development, testing, release, and maintenance.
- The ability to work across frontend and backend development.
- A sound understanding of application and system architecture.
- Experience with databases, APIs, authentication, integrations, and cloud-hosted applications.
- Strong debugging, investigation, and problem-solving ability.
- An understanding of software security, data protection, access control, and safe development practices.
- Experience testing and verifying software before release.
- Experience maintaining or improving software built by another developer.
- Familiarity with professional source control and collaborative development practices.
- The ability to write readable, maintainable, and appropriately documented code.
- The ability to communicate technical matters clearly in written and spoken English.
- The willingness and ability to learn unfamiliar technologies when they are the best choice for a product.

Applicants must have at least five years of professional software-development experience, with substantial recent experience actively writing, reviewing, testing, and maintaining production code.

A university degree is helpful but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability and real production experience are more important.
