JOB OVERVIEW

Leveric is hiring a junior software developer who can genuinely code and who uses AI development tools with judgment. You will build real production software for Australian businesses using Claude Code and Codex every day. You do not need senior experience. You do need to understand every line you ship.

ABOUT LEVERIC

Leveric is an Australian AI productisation and operating systems firm for service businesses. We take the expertise, processes and client delivery locked inside a business and turn them into practical systems. Diagnostics, automated workflows, dashboards, internal knowledge tools, client experience systems and AI assistants trained on client intellectual property.

Everything we build is deployed and used by paying clients. Working systems, not demos.

We are a small firm built for long term scale. You will work directly with the founder inside an AI first development process and learn how a modern AI operating company runs from the inside.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

1. React, TypeScript and Next.js applications in production.
2. Supabase databases, authentication and storage.
3. API and webhook integrations.
4. Internal business tools.
5. Client dashboards and diagnostic products.
6. Bug fixes and contained features.
7. AI assisted workflows and automation.
8. Testing and technical quality assurance.
9. Repository documentation.
10. GitHub workflow and code review.

You will take scoped briefs, work inside existing repositories and return tested, documented changes.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

1. How to read and understand an existing codebase.
2. How to write and modify JavaScript or TypeScript.
3. React and Next.js fundamentals.
4. Supabase, APIs and webhooks, or the ability to pick them up fast.
5. Git branches, commits and pull requests.
6. How to diagnose and fix bugs, not just report them.
7. How to review AI generated code for regressions, unsafe patterns and incomplete implementations.
8. How to run automated and manual tests before returning work.
9. How to explain what changed, why it changed and how you verified it.
10. How to write clear technical documentation and handoffs.

You do not need senior engineering experience. We will train someone with strong fundamentals, curiosity, integrity, clear communication and fast learning.

HOW CLAUDE CODE AND CODEX ARE USED

Claude Code and Codex are central to this role. They are how we plan, implement, test and document most changes. You will use them daily and you will be expected to use them well.

The standard is simple. You own the output. If Claude Code or Codex writes code, you read it, understand it, test it and stand behind it. Copying generated output without understanding it is the fastest way to fail here.

In practice you will:

1. Use Claude Code for deep build work, planning and code changes.
2. Use Codex for coding support, review passes and operational follow through, or learn it quickly if you have not used it.
3. Move work between the two tools without losing repository context, decisions or test evidence.
4. Compare outputs when useful and choose the stronger implementation rather than staying loyal to one tool.
5. Show your prompts, your diffs, your tests and your reasoning when you hand work back.

If you already use Claude Code on real projects, you will feel at home. If you only use AI to generate snippets you paste and hope for the best, this is not your role.

WHO WILL SUCCEED

You are a developer first and an AI tool user second. You are curious about how things work, honest about what you do not know, and you debug instead of pasting the first generated answer. You write clear English and you test before you say something is done.

You get satisfaction from shipping working software that real businesses depend on, and you want to build serious skill in AI assisted development while the field is still young. This role will make you strong at exactly the workflow the industry is moving toward.

HOURS, RATE AND WORKING ARRANGEMENT

1. Remote, Philippines based.
2. Start at approximately 20 to 38 hours each week - depending on availability and experience.
3. Regular overlap with Sydney/Melbourne business hours (AEST).
4. USD 5 to USD 8 an hour based on demonstrated ability. Nominate your expected rate in your application.
5. A paid repository based test before an ongoing offer. We pay for your test time.
6. Reviews at day 30 and day 90.
7. Long term opportunity. Hours, responsibility and pay all increase when performance is proven.

HOW TO APPLY

Begin your application with the word GWAPO. Applications that skip this are not read.

Then include the following. Strong developers should finish this in about 15 minutes.

1. Your GitHub profile or portfolio link.
2. A two to three minute Loom video showing a real Claude Code workflow you have used.
3. A Codex example if you have used Codex. If not, say so directly. Doesn't matter - we care about output and honesty.
4. One example where an AI coding tool produced incorrect or incomplete code, how you identified it and how you fixed it.
5. Your normal process from receiving a brief to returning tested work.
6. Your experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Supabase, APIs and Git. Honest self ratings beat inflated claims.
7. Your computer specifications.
8. Screenshot of internet speed.
9. Your expected hourly rate in USD.
10. Your availability, current employment and any other client commitments.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

1. We review applications as they arrive and shortlist quickly.
2. Shortlisted candidates complete a paid repository based test that mirrors the real work. You will use Claude Code or Codex, show your workflow, and return tested code with a written handoff.
3. Strong test results lead to a video interview with the founder.
4. The successful candidate starts on low risk work and earns broader access as trust is demonstrated.
5. Reviews at day 30 and day 90 set the path for increased hours, responsibility and pay.

We respond to every shortlisted applicant. If you follow the application instructions in full, you will hear from us either way.
