About the Role
Church Admin Inc. provides outsourced accounting, financial, and administrative services to a network of partner churches. We're seeking a Finance Manager who splits time evenly between leading our accounting team and performing hands-on financial work. This is a working-manager role: roughly half your time developing and directing staff, and half your time doing skilled bookkeeping, reporting, and forecasting yourself.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership (approx. 50%)

Lead, train, and develop a small accounting team, setting clear expectations and providing regular coaching
Improve and standardize bookkeeping processes to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy
Drive an efficient, timely month-end close across client accounts
Review team work product and ensure quality and consistency

Hands-On Financial Work (approx. 50%)

Perform complex bookkeeping quickly and accurately across multiple client organizations
Prepare financial statements and management reporting
Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections
Support clients with financial insight and problem-solving

Required Qualifications

Attend non-denominational christian church regularly (required)
Excellent English speaker (required)
Active CPA license (required)
Strong, fast, and accurate with complex bookkeeping and general ledger work
Proven ability to lead, train, and develop an accounting team
Track record of improving accounting processes and shortening close timelines
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online) and Excel
Experience with fund or nonprofit accounting preferred
