Granite State Business Holdings (GSBH) is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full-time Electrical Estimator to support our growing estimating team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in electrical estimating who enjoys reviewing plans, performing takeoffs, and supporting bid preparation.
As our organization continues to grow across multiple operating companies, we are looking for experienced electrical estimators who can help us manage our current estimating workload while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and professionalism. Candidates with broader general construction estimating experience are highly preferred, as they will have opportunities to support projects beyond electrical work as our estimating department continues to expand.
## What You'll Do:
### Electrical Estimating & Takeoffs
* Review construction drawings, electrical plans, specifications, and bid documents.
* Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for electrical systems and construction-related projects.
* Prepare electrical cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals.
* Identify project scope requirements and highlight potential risks or omissions.
* Coordinate with project managers, estimators, vendors, and subcontractors as needed.
* Maintain organized estimating documentation and bid records.
### Bid Support
* Assist with bid preparation and submission requirements.
* Gather vendor and supplier pricing.
* Support RFI and clarification tracking during the bidding process.
* Help ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted on time.
### Administrative & Process Support
* Maintain organized electronic project files and estimating records.
* Update bid tracking logs and estimating databases.
* Assist with process improvements and estimating workflow documentation.
* Support the estimating team with additional preconstruction tasks as assigned.
# Requirements
### Required Qualifications
* 2+ years of electrical estimating experience for an electrical contractor or construction company.
* Experience performing electrical quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
* Ability to read and interpret construction plans, electrical drawings, and project documents.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other construction-related software.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
### Preferred Qualifications
* Additional experience in general construction estimating beyond electrical projects.
* Experience working on commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects.
* Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Accubid, ConEst, or similar takeoff and estimating software.
* Experience supporting both electrical subcontractor and general contractor estimating efforts.
* Experience working with U.S.-based construction projects.
