The Streamer Academy builds content for creators who feel overwhelmed, unsure where to start, and tired of guessing. We don’t chase trends. We don’t rely on hype. We don’t make content just to post. We build trust through clarity. If someone watches our videos, they should feel: "This finally makes sense. I trust this. I can do this.”
Our content lives at the intersection of:
- OBS tutorials
- Console streaming (PS5, Xbox)
- Beginner tech setup & product reviews
- Creator confidence and clarity
This is an educational brand with high standards and a long-term vision.
What This Role Actually Is
This is not a task-based editing role.
You are becoming the editor for the Streamer Academy ecosystem.
That includes:
- Long-form YouTube tutorials
- Short-form educational clips
- Gaming setup content
- Workshops, courses, and ads
You’re expected to:
- Think creatively
- Contribute ideas
- Care about pacing, structure, and comprehension
- Help turn tutorials into engaging learning experiences
If you only want to be told exactly what to do, this is not the role.
How We Produce Content (Important)
We operate on a monthly Content Week model. At the start of each month, the team collaborates for 5 days to:
- Plan upcoming videos
- Record content
- Align on creative direction
- Lock intros and editing intent
Our editor is an active participant in Content Week.
That means:
- Being on camera
- Speaking up
- Offering creative input
- Helping shape how edits bring tutorials to life
Content Week is mandatory and collaborative.
Outside of Content Week, work is structured, planned, and focused.
Our Editing Workflow (Non-Negotiable)
For every long-form video, we lock the first 60–90 seconds before completing the full edit.
This is how we work.
Typical flow:
~2 business days to deliver the fully edited intro (hook, pacing, zooms, text, tone)
Once the intro is approved, ~2 additional business days to complete the full video
This process:
- protects quality
- minimizes revisions
- keeps production smooth
Editors who thrive here understand that getting the opening right makes the rest faster.
What You’ll Be Editing (Monthly Average)
- Up to 15 long-form videos (15–25 minutes each)
- Up to 12–15 short-form videos
Occasional:
- Ads
- Workshop lessons
- Course modules
All content is educational, beginner-focused, and structured.
Editing Standards
We aim for world-class educational edits, especially in the first 60 seconds.
That means:
- Strong intros without hype
- Clean pacing
- Intentional zooms and visual emphasis
- Edits that improve understanding, not distract
Our internal benchmark:
Long-form videos should aim for ~70% retention at the 1-minute mark
You won’t be micromanaged, but quality matters.
Turnaround Expectations
- Long-form intro: ~2 business days
- Full long-form after intro approval: ~2 business days
- Shorts: ~1 business day
- Revisions: same or next business day
We plan ahead. This is not a chaotic environment.

Content Week Schedule (Once per Month):
At the start of each month, we run a 5-day collaborative Content Week.
During Content Week only, availability shifts to: 11pm–6am Philippines time
Content Week is scheduled in advance so the team can plan around the temporary schedule shift.
Outside of Content Week, the schedule returns to normal working hours.
Compensation
- $1,000/month
- Long-term role
- Stable base pay
- Optional upside as the team grows
- This is a monthly role, not a per-video position.
Paid Test Project (Required)
Before hiring, we run a short paid test to evaluate fit.
The test includes:
- Editing the first 60–90 seconds of one long-form video
- Editing one full short
Timeline:
- Long-form intro delivered within 2 business days
- Short delivered within 1 business day
- The test runs over 3 business days total.
The test is paid at a flat $30 and mirrors how we actually work long-term.

Text-only applications will not be considered.
Final Note
This role is intentionally demanding. We don’t play it safe. We don’t aim for “good enough." We build content that earns trust.
