JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior-level, high-autonomy Assistant Controller to join our leadership support team. This is not a training position; we are looking for a seasoned professional who can step in on day one with the "clinical precision" required for a Healthcare Provider partner. You will be expected to bridge the gap between daily bookkeeping and high-level financial reporting without oversight, maintaining the "Nodal Management" of our fiscal operations with military-grade accuracy.


Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting
- Expert Reconciliation: Perform and oversee regular reconciliation of all financial accounts, ensuring 100?ta integrity.

- Executive Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and year-end financial reports (P&L, cash flow, balance sheets) for the CEO and CRO.

- Audit & Tax Leadership: Independently coordinate with the company’s CPA for quarterly/year-end tax filings and complex payroll reports.

- Strategic Expense Management: Proactively track company expenses and identify variances or areas for fiscal improvement.

- Accounts Management: Oversight of AP/AR, ensuring vendor payments and invoice follow-ups are handled without internal reminders.

Payroll & Contractor Management
- Hybrid Payroll Mastery: Independently process and submit payroll for internal staff and independent contractors with 100?curacy.

- Advanced Deductions: Manage intricate payroll and contractor deductions, specifically for company-covered vehicle and fuel expenses.

- Rapid Dispute Resolution: Resolve driver pay discrepancies within 24 hours.

Insurance & Fleet Administration
- Policy Oversight: Manage Auto Insurance (adding/removing Vehicles), General Liability (GL/PL), and Workers' Comp policies.

- Compliance Lead: Track i ---------- reports and lead coordination with insurance brokers for annual renewals and audits.

HR & Compliance Support
- Rapid Onboarding: Execute new hire paperwork, background checks, and tax forms (W-9) within a strict 3-day window.

- Data Integrity: Maintain absolute accuracy in employee and contractor records.

Required Qualifications
- Senior Experience: 5–7+ years of verifiable senior bookkeeping and payroll experience. We are seeking an expert, not a candidate who requires fundamental training.

- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in QuickBooks Online (Required) and advanced Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).

- Professional Depth: Strong mastery of accounts payable/receivable and extensive experience working directly with external CPAs.

- Industry Context: Prior experience in NEMT, logistics, or healthcare documentation/DOT requirements is a significant advantage.

- Speed: Monthly reconciliations completed within 5 business days of month-end.
