Architectural Designer

The Architectural Designer will support Vecino’s design and team in advancing affordable, supportive, and community-focused housing communities from early concept through construction documentation. This role will assist with site planning, schematic design, floor plan development, building elevations, code and accessibility review, consultant coordination, and the preparation of drawing packages for internal review. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office, with the ability to translate project goals, jurisdictional requirements, and construction constraints into clear, coordinated design documents.

This position requires a detail-oriented and collaborative designer who can work closely with Vecino’s internal development, construction, asset management, and ownership teams, as well as outside engineers, consultants, and contractors. Responsibilities include updating plan sets, coordinating design comments, reviewing drawings for accuracy, assisting with RFIs and submittals, maintaining drawing standards, and helping resolve design issues that impact budget, schedule, constructability, and long-term operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of architectural documentation, multifamily housing, accessibility requirements, building systems, and construction sequencing, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-moving development environment.
