JOB OVERVIEW

HOW TO APPLY

Fill out the Application form below:
----------

Company: The FSW Group (ValveMan, FS Welsford, and our growing family of companies)
Hours: Full-time | Remote, Philippines-based | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time
Compensation: $7 - $10 per hour (based on experience)

WHO WE ARE

We are a family business, and we mean that in every sense of the word. The FSW Group is a collection of companies, including ValveMan and Welsford Co., built over decades on relationships, trust, and a belief that how you treat people matters just as much as what you build. We are not a faceless corporation, and we are not looking to fill a seat. We are looking for someone to grow with us for years to come.

When we say we treat our team like family, we are telling you what we expect of ourselves as much as what we offer you. We care about the people who build alongside us. We celebrate wins together, we work through challenges together, and we are genuinely invested in helping every tea ---------- mber build a career they are proud of.

This is a long-term opportunity, not a gig. If you are someone who wants to keep sharpening
your skills, take on bigger challenges over time, and build something meaningful with a
company that has your back, we would love to meet you.

WHAT WE OFFER

A long-term home, not a short-term contract. We are looking for someone to build their career with us.

A team that genuinely cares about you and treats you like family.

The chance to work with cutting-edge AI tools every single day, and to keep growing your skills as the role expands.

After six months of employment, as long as you are meeting all requirements of the role, you will receive five days of paid time off along with a stipend toward your HMO health insurance.

Real ownership and real impact. Your work will directly improve how our companies run.

OUR CORE VALUES

These are not words on a wall. They are how we operate, and they are what we will look for in you.

Integrity. Do what is right. Do what you say.
Ambition. Continually level up. We want people who are always reaching for the next thing.

Entrepreneurial Spirit. Take initiative, think like an owner, and find the better way.

Supportive. Win together. Grow together.

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL

We are looking for a self-driven senior developer to become the engine behind how we use AI to improve our businesses. You will use Claude, Claude Code, Codex, and whatever is the best tool for the job at that time.

You will own projects from the very first conversation all the way through to a working, deployed solution that people across our organization actually use each and every day. Post deployment, you will train tea ---------- mbers on how to use the tool and continue to monitor the tool to assure it works.

This is not a build-it-and-hand-it-off role. You will take an idea or an opportunity that may start out fuzzy, shape it into a clear plan, confirm it with the right people, build it, and then get it live and running. You are the owner from start to finish and beyond.

The work is broad. Some projects will be classic software and web development. Others will be about streamlining how a part of the business runs, setting up automations and triggers, or building reporting and dashboards. Many will touch the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power Automate and Power BI, as well as Epicor Profit21 - both of which will be a meaningful part of this role. The common thread is that you are improving how the FSW Group operates, and you are using the best AI tools available to do it.

WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO

Take ownership of two to three projects at a time across the FSW Group, keeping your focus where it matters most without getting pulled in too many directions at once.

Keep track of and manage the pipeline of project requests

Understand the full picture of the projects on our plate, and gather complete, well-organized requirements for each one.

Turn those requirements into a clear Statement of Work that everyone can agree on.

Validate the requirements and the plan with the designated business leader, which depending on the project may be the leader of Welsford Co, the leader of ValveMan, or the CEO of the Group.

Build the solution, using Claude, Claude Code, or the best tool/set of tools for that application.

Deploy it. Getting something working as an MVP is only half the job. You are responsible for taking it all the way into a live, operational system that actually works in the real world.

Work across whatever platforms the project requires, which may include our ecommerce systems, internal web applications, cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and especially the Epicor Profit21 and Microsoft platform through Power Automate and Power BI.

Improve processes, not just code. Some of your work will be about rethinking how a workflow runs, adding the right triggers, and finding optimizations that touch any part of the organization.

Keep an eye out for new opportunities. As you come to understand how things flow across our businesses, we want you to surface ideas for additional improvements we have not even thought to ask for yet. This is a secondary part of the role, but a valued one.

WHO YOU ARE

A genuinely strong developer with real experience architecting webapps as well as building and shipping software.

Experienced with vibe coding (Claude Code, Codex, etc) specifically, and comfortable making AI tools the center of how you work.

Someone with a real track record of architecting and deploying applications, not just prototyping them.

You know the difference between “it runs on my machine” and “it is live and people depend on it.”

You keep clear repos for handoffs and long term sustainability

Capable of taking an ambiguous opportunity and running with it on your own. You can manage the whole pipeline, from requirements to delivery, without needing to be handed every step.

Comfortable with the Microsoft platform, including Power Automate and Power BI, as well as Epicor Profit21 or confident you can get there quickly.

A clear communicator who can talk to business leaders, understand what they actually need, and keep everyone aligned.

Organized enough to juggle a few projects at once while keeping organized and focused on a quality high output.

Excited to keep learning. This role will keep evolving, and we want someone who is eager to evolve with it.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

You will report to our Virtual Team Manager, who will help you prioritize, protect your focus, and make sure you have what you need to do great work. Your day-to-day business leader will vary by project, but you will always have a clear point of contact and clear direction on what success looks like.

THE SCHEDULE

This is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, working 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time (1 hour lunch break) so that you are fully aligned with our US team’s time. Forty hours is also the cap, because we believe in protecting your time and your energy. We are a family-first company, and that means we want you doing your best work during the day and then living your life when the day is done.

THE TRIAL PROJECT

Before we both fully commit, we will start with one real-world project together. It will be a small to medium sized project, the kind of work you would actually be doing in the role, and it will run from start to finish in roughly one week.
You will own it the same way you would own anything else: gather the requirements, validate them, build it in Claude Code, and deploy it into a working system with proper documentation. This gives you a real feel for the work and our culture, and it gives us a chance to see your skills in action. This assures that the role/responsibilities will work for both parties moving forward.
