Youtube Video Editor — Fast-Paced Illustrated Explainer Channel

I run a growing YouTube channel that produces fast-paced illustrated explainer videos in the style of The Paint Explainer, Simple Paint, and Kurzgesagt. The format involves zooming and panning across illustrated panels while a voiceover narrates, with scene changes approximately every 1-2 seconds.

I am looking for an editor who has direct experience editing this specific type of video. Not general video editing experience. Not gaming montages or vlogs or talking head content. Specifically illustrated panel-based explainer videos with fast-paced zooms, pans, and transitions synced to narration.

What the role involves:

- Assembling illustrated panels and voiceover audio into a finished video
- Zooming and panning across panels in sync with the narration
- Adding text overlays, section titles, and a progress bar
- Sourcing and adding appropriate background music and sound effects
- Timing scene changes to match the narration at approximately 1-2 second intervals
- Delivering 1-2 videos per week, each roughly 10-15 minutes long

What I provide:

- All illustrated panels
- Full voiceover audio
- Detailed brief for each video with section-by-section instructions
- Reference video showing the exact style to match

Requirements:

- You MUST have previous experience editing illustrated explainer videos in this specific style
- You MUST include links to published YouTube videos you have edited in this format in your application
- Applications without a relevant portfolio will not be considered
- You must be able to deliver a full 10-15 minute video within 3-4 days of receiving assets

Before applying, watch at least one video from The Paint Explainer on YouTube so you understand exactly what this style looks like. If your portfolio does not contain videos in this style, your application will NOT be considered.

This is ongoing weekly work with consistent pay for the right person. Rate is negotiable based on experience and portfolio quality.
