YouTube Video Editor for Sid Meier's Civilization 7 Content

You'll work closely with our creative team to transform raw footage into dynamic stories that align with our brand's voice and resonate with our target audience.

Responsibilities:
- Sort through hours of raw footage to assemble clips, creatively selecting and sequencing shots based on the director's vision and overall YouTube engagement strategies.
- Strategically edit videos with the goal of captivating viewers and driving increased watch time.
- Incorporate music, sound effects, graphics, titles, and other elements to enhance storytelling.
- Employ pacing, transitions, and editing techniques that are specifically optimized for YouTube's platform.
- Create rough and final cuts ensuring exceptional quality, smooth flow, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and other stakeholders throughout the production and post-production processes.
- Research and implement new editing technologies, best practices, and YouTube trends to continually elevate our videos.


Requirements:
- Proven experience as a YouTube Video Editor, with a demonstrable portfolio showcasing successful projects.
- Deep expertise in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro).
- Strong understanding of YouTube's unique algorithms and audience preferences.
- Knowledge of current video editing techniques for optimized viewer retention.
- Exceptional eye for visual storytelling and creative editing flair.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fan of Sid Meier's Civilization

Bonus Skills:
- Experience with color correction and color grading
