We produce long-form YouTube videos covering military operations, logistics, history, and the behind-the-scenes details most people never think to ask about. Our videos blend archival footage, AI-generated visuals and voiceover, and custom maps and animations. We're looking for a versatile editor who can move across all of those and turn out engaging, retention-driven videos.
What you'll do
Edit 10–30 minute videos that keep viewers locked in from the cold open to the final frame
Work fluidly across three visual layers: restored/archival footage, AI-generated imagery and voiceover, and motion graphics (maps, troop movements, stat cards, equipment breakdowns, timelines)
Pace edits for retention: tight hooks, clean cuts,
Source and integrate archival footage, stock, and imagery with attention to usage rights
Add captions/subtitles throughout
Layer music and sound design that builds atmosphere without burying narration
Hit a consistent recurring upload schedule
AI tools you'll use (tell us which you know)
Voiceover & audio: ElevenLabs, Descript, or similar
Footage restoration/upscaling: Topaz Video AI or similar
Generated visuals/B-roll: Runway, Kling, Sora, Midjourney, or similar
Captions & rough cuts: CapCut, Opus Clip, Descript
We don't expect mastery of every tool — we want to know where you're strong and where you lean on AI vs. doing it by hand.
What we're looking for
Proven long-form YouTube editing experience (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar — please specify)
Hands-on AI workflow experience — name the tools and how you actually use them
A real instinct for storytelling and retention, not just technical cutting
Comfort blending real archival footage with AI-generated material so the seams don't show
Reliable communicator who turns around revisions quickly
Nice to have
Interest in or knowledge of military history/operations
Strong motion graphics / map animation skills
Thumbnail or title input
To apply: Send your portfolio or 2–3 relevant long-form samples, the editing and AI tools you use (and how), your typical turnaround per video, and your rate. Bonus: include one sample where you blended archival and AI-generated footage.
