JOB OVERVIEW

Channel Type: Faceless YouTube channel

Commitment: Full-time | 6 days/week | 8 hours/day (prompt responses expected during working hours)

Turnaround: Fast-paced with daily deadlines. Each video must be completed, submitted, and formally approved within the same day. Work is only considered finished once approval is granted and no further revisions are required. If videos are completed and approved ahead of schedule, the workday may conclude early; if approval is not achieved within scheduled hours, continued effort is required until the video is finalized and accepted.

Resources: Detailed VO scripts and reference videos will be provided for every single video

About the Role
We run a fast-growing faceless YouTube channel producing long-form, story-driven content on trending news. Each video is built around a professional voiceover script — your role is to add visual direction and bring it to life.
We're seeking a full-time video editor to independently source footage, craft engaging edits, and design high-impact thumbnails — all to a consistent daily standard. This is a long-term position with stable pay and strong growth potential.

What You'll Do

Edit 2 long-form videos daily (25-35 minutes each), synced precisely to provided voiceover scripts with a polished, broadcast-quality finish

Independently research, source, and organize a high volume of B-roll and footage (dozens to hundreds of clips per video).
Every single clip must be directly relevant to what the narrator is saying at that exact ---------- nt. No generic filler, no lazy stock footage. Public event clips, news interviews, archival material, paparazzi footage, and royalty-free assets must all be hunted down with patience, precision, and a researcher's mindset

Match footage tightly to the narration — when the script references a specific person, event, or ---------- nt, the visual on screen must reflect it. Viewers should feel the video was made for that story, not assembled from whatever was available
Keep engagement high with varied visuals — mix close-ups, reaction clips, text overlays, and relevant cutaways to prevent drop-off across the full 25–35 minute runtime

Add professional finishing elements: on-screen subtitles/captions, smooth transitions, background music, and cinematic pacing tuned for retention

Design 2 CTR-focused thumbnails daily — bold, emotionally charged, YouTube-native style with strong visual hierarchy
Maintain an organized shared asset library and meet all daily deadlines without follow-up
What You Need

Proven proficiency in Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve

Strong thumbnail design skills using Photoshop or Canva

Strong research ability — patience to source precise and relevant footage for 25–35 minute scripts (finding the exact clip, not just a close enough one)

High attention to detail — visuals must match narration exactly. (e.g. If the narrator says "the garden party in 2018," the footage on screen should reflect that ---------- nt specifically, not a random garden party

B-roll sourcing experience — from stock libraries, YouTube archives, and public media
A reliable workstation with capable setup and fast internet for long form projects

Good English comprehension — all scripts and voiceovers are in English
A sharp sense of storytelling, pacing, and audience retention for news-style content

Judgement on footage — knowing when clips add emotional weight vs. noise

Full-time commitment — 6 days/week and 8 hours per day, delivering 2 complete videos + 2 thumbnails daily. Prompt responses expected during working hours.

Bonus Points
Previous experience editing news, current events, or royal/celebrity content
Familiarity with royalty-free asset platforms (Storyblocks, Pexels, Artgrid, etc.) and basic audio mixing
Understanding of YouTube CTR and retention best practices (hooks, pacing, visual variety)
Experience editing long-form content where viewer retention past the 50% mark is a real priority
