YouTube Scriptwriter - Gaming Channel

We are a U.S.-based esports-tech company behind Hawk Live - a leading Dota 2 live score platform with 4M+ monthly visits from gamers worldwide.

We are also the team behind Hawk Live Gaming, a fast-growing YouTube channel launched in 2025 that already generates 1M+ views per month. Multiple videos have crossed 500K views, and the channel continues to grow rapidly. We know how to ship content that performs.

Now we’re building a dedicated production team to scale even faster.


What You’ll Do

1) Research, outline, and write 4 scripts per month (30-65 minutes each) for YouTube videos about:

AI experiments in games: testing whether AI models (ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, etc.) can create builds, strategies, or even beat games like Elden Ring, including AI vs AI challenges, AI vs humans, and validating the results through real gameplay and boss fights.

Elden Ring: builds, progression strategies, damage scaling, stat breakpoints, and objective testing to determine the strongest setups.

Souls-like and similar RPGs: quickly analyzing popular titles and understanding their build systems, mechanics, and optimization strategies.

Strong candidates are welcome to suggest video ideas and experiment concepts.

2) Capture your own 1080p (or better) gameplay footage: progression, boss fights, weapon tests, damage benchmarks, etc.

3) Present clear shot lists and time codes for the video editor.

4) Use basic algebra and spreadsheets to calculate DPS, stat breakpoints, soft caps, etc.

5) Collaborate with the channel manager and video editor.


Requirements

1) Portfolio: at least 2 published gaming YouTube scripts or videos where you were the primary scriptwriter, demonstrating strong pacing, audience psychology, and long-form retention.

2) Strong understanding of YouTube’s platform and trends, with high taste in the economics and finance niche - you actively watch long-form economics content and understand what drives retention and watch time.

3) Familiarity with modern AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and curiosity about using them to design experiments, strategies, or ideas that can be tested in gameplay.

4) Capable PC and recording setup to produce smooth, artifact?free gameplay clips.

5) Proven ability to brief video editors (visual references, pacing notes, etc) so the final cut matches your vision.

6) Comfort with basic algebra / spreadsheets for DPS calculations, stat breakpoints, and progression math.

7) Fluent written English with natural wording, tone, and contemporary U.S. cultural references (no AI-translated text; grammar and punctuation must read naturally to a U.S. audience).

8) Ability to work independently, accept feedback, and iterate quickly.

9) Ability to deliver each complete script within 5 business days of receiving the brief, including revisions and gameplay footage.

10) No AI-generated scripts. All writing must be original and human-written. We may use plagiarism/AI screening and will ask you to confirm authorship.
