JOB OVERVIEW

WordPress Content Manager — Local SEO (Remote / Part-Time)

Pay: $75 USD per week
Hours: 20 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible — work on your own time, hit your weekly targets

Location: Remote — we are based in Massachusetts, USA

About This Role:
We are a local junk removal company in Western Massachusetts building a dominant online presence across 15 cities and towns.
We are looking for a detail-oriented WordPress Content Manager to run our content system week after week.

This is not a writing job. This is not a creative job. This is a systems job.

You will be given a complete operational playbook on day one that tells you exactly what to do, step by step, every single day. Every page type is templated.

Every checklist is written out. Every quality standard is defined. Your job is to follow the system precisely and hit consistent weekly output.

If you can follow detailed written instructions, work independently without hand-holding, and take pride in doing things correctly the first time — this role was built for you.

What You Will Do Each Week:

Build and publish 6–8 city and service pages inside WordPress
Build and publish 1 city hub page per week
Write and publish 2 blog posts per week
Run a weekly SEO audit and fix flagged issues
Maintain clean internal linking across all pages
Ensure every page passes a quality checklist before publishing

Tools You Will Use:

All tools are provided or reimbursed.

You will be trained on each one during your first three days.

A Google Sheets AI content tool that generates all page content from templates — you fill in the variables, it does the heavy lifting

A WordPress SEO plugin that scores every page before you publish — goal is 80 or higher on every page
A weekly SEO audit dashboard that monitors site health and flags issues for you to fix

A free desktop crawler you run once per week to catch technical issues
You do not need to know these tools before you start. You need to be willing to learn them quickly.

Requirements:

Must know WordPress inside and out — building pages, setting URLs, uploading images, publishing content
Strong attention to detail — SEO only works when done correctly every single time

Able to follow a detailed written system without needing constant direction
Reliable and consistent — weekly output targets must be met every week

Excellent written English — content must read naturally, not robotic
Experience with SEO concepts — meta titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, schema markup

Available for a video call during the hiring process

What Makes This Role Different:

You will never stare at a blank page.

You will never wonder what to do next.

The entire system is documented and waiting for you on day one. Your only job is to execute it correctly and consistently.

During your first three days we will walk through the playbook together, build the content templates together, and publish your first pages together.

After that you run the system independently.

This is a long term role for the right person. We are building a content system with over 300 pages across 15 cities. There is a clear roadmap and consistent work for months ahead.

To Apply:
Please answer the following questions in your application:

How long have you been using WordPress and what types of pages have you built inside it?

Walk me through exactly how you would turn a content template into a published WordPress page step by step.

Have you used an SEO plugin inside WordPress before? Which one and what did you use it for?

How would you organize 20 hours across a week to consistently publish 6–8 pages plus 2 blog posts?

This role requires following a strict system with no creative freedom. Can you give me an example of a previous role where you followed a detailed process or system?

Applications without answers to all five questions will not be considered.
