WordPress Web Developer (Specifically Elementor)

We're a growing UK-based digital marketing agency looking for a long-term WordPress web developer to help us build and maintain websites for our clients in the home improvement and trade industries.

We use Elementor Pro and have a proven website structure for home improvement businesses, but the design would be open for you to come up with, based on the brief if the client is specific about what they are looking for.

The right candidate will follow this structure closely and focus on delivering high-quality, accurate, and brand-aligned sites quickly and efficiently.

This role is focused on building new websites, migrating them and updating existing client sites. We provide the plugins and tools you need to build the sites, including the following:

• Elementor Pro licence
• All premium plugins (fully licensed)
• Hosting environment for development
• Access to stock image libraries
• All written content and page structure
• Ongoing training and support
• There will be no additional cost to you

What You’ll Do:

1. Set up new client sites on a development subdomain
2. Design the site inline with the client’s brief, branding, etc.
3. Move existing content from the old website to the new site
4. Add new content provided by our team
5. Use stock images (we provide access) or reuse quality images from the original site
6. Continue building new pages on a monthly basis for SEO purposes (you’ll be trained on our exact process)
7. Maintain the website each month, making small edits, etc.
8. Migrate the site from the client's existing hosting to ours when needed; set up things like Cloudflare, CAPTCHA, SMTP

Pay Structure:

1. $500 USD per website build
2. $7.50 USD per new page for ongoing monthly work (one page using our pre-built templates take less than one hour)
3. Ongoing hours (not including new website builds): 5–15 hours per week, growing over time as we onboard more clients (the goal is to get your to full-time hours)
4. $10 USD per site, per month — basic site maintenance, i.e., updating plugins, taking backups etc.
5. Additional hours paid at $7.50 USD per hour
6. As we grow, our goal is to offer you a full-time position on a monthly wage

Long-Term Opportunity:

This is a long-term position where hours and responsibility will increase over time. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us, become part of our team, and contribute to the success of a fast-growing digital marketing agency.

Over time, this role could evolve into many other technical areas within the business.

Requirements:

1. Experience building WordPress sites using Elementor Pro
2. Strong attention to detail (structure, spacing, responsiveness)
3. Ability to follow a site structure system
4. Fluent in English
4. Able to work independently and meet deadlines
5. Flexible work hours (you can work anytime from anywhere – as long as the work is completed on time and to a high standard.)?
6. Willingness to have regular Zoom calls with me so we can keep up today with work and train you on anything needed
7. Knowledge of DNS, hosting, and basic technical website tasks
8. Be responsive on WhatsApp, i.e., keep me up-to-date with the projects

Bonus Points For:

1. Familiarity with SEO basics
2. Experience working with digital marketing agencies
3. Tools We use ClickUp, GoHighLevel, Airtable (nice to have but not essential)
4. You’re up-to-date with the latest AI, such as Claude Code and you are able to help us innovate and design better ways of doing things

Immediate Start:

We have a website that needs to be built right away, and we have lots of other websites that need to be maintained, so we will require you to be able to start immediately after the interview if you are the right fit for the role.

As part of the interview process, you will be required to show me the backend of your example sites during the interview, so if you lie and send me websites that you have not built or are not built using Elementor, then you will not be considered for the role.
