ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a skilled WordPress developer with hands-on Mailchimp experience to build out and maintain a growing author and personal brand website. The client is a published author and speaker who needs a polished, SEO-optimized website with e-commerce capability, ongoing content updates, and a professionally designed 10-email welcome sequence built in Mailchimp. This is a long-term role with consistent work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Rebuild and expand an existing WordPress site ( ---------- ) with improved UX, SEO, and design
• Add WooCommerce shop for book sales and merchandise
• Perform ongoing monthly maintenance: uploading blog posts, articles, event appearances, and schedule updates
• Conduct an SEO audit and implement on-page SEO improvements
• Design and build a 10-email welcome sequence in Mailchimp following provided brand guidelines and copy
• Set up automation flows, tagging, and segmentation in Mailchimp

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• 3+ years WordPress development experience (theme customization, plugins, page builders)
• WooCommerce setup and management experience
• Proven Mailchimp experience — building campaigns, automations, and sequences
• Working knowledge of on-page SEO (Yoast or RankMath)
• Eye for design and ability to follow brand guidelines closely
• Strong written English and client communication skills

NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with author, speaker, or personal brand websites
• Familiarity with podcast or media integration on WordPress
• Basic graphic design for email template creation

Compensation: ?52,000 – ?69,000/mo (~$900 – $1,200 USD)
